Saad Akbar Babrak

Saad Akbar Babrak (died 16 October 1951), an Afghan of Pashtun ethnicity, assassinated the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, Liaqat Ali Khan.

On October 16, 1951, during a public meeting, Saad shot Liaqat twice in a park in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The assassin was fatally shot by police officers seconds later, so it is not clear what his motive was, but it has been speculated that it was related to Liaqat Ali Khan making inflammatory comments regarding Afghanistan at the time of his shooting. Liaqat was rushed to a hospital where he was given a blood transfusion, but he succumbed to his injuries. Biographical detalis of Said Akbar and the reasons that why he killed Liaquat Ali Khan are not widely known.

It is stated in the official file on Liaquat Ali Khan that Akbar was a "Afghan national and a professional assassin."

Babrak was the grandson of the great Babrak Khan Zadran. The historic leader of Zadran tribe.


And Saad Babrak was in Pakistan because of his conflict with Afghan government. So he was in exile in Pakistan.

But when he saw the former British slave slandering Afghanistan he shot liaqat ali like you would shoot a filhty wild dog.
