No one benefited more from his death than the Pakistanies. I know he wouldn't have accepted any foreign interference...no "international coalition" of any kind. He had the respect of all the generals - Hekmatyar, Ismael, Mullah Omar, Rabbani... who is Abdullah x2? Who is Fahim? Sell outs. Are they carrying out the wishes of their fallen General?
Note how he said jihad before, and jihad after...it goes to show that unlike the rest, he was fully conscious of illegitimacy of the war after the retreat of the Soviet. The in-fighting was the real catalyst that brought from the chaos, the Taliban.

I'm afraid his message of 'unity based on first and foremost on nationality' was a noble idea but an idea which ultimately failed because the only people buying it were a few 'moderate' Tajiks. Today, Tajik's are generally not buying it. Pashtun's never bought it/accepted it.

This idea of Tajiks, Pashtuns, and all other Afghan ethnic groups coming together and holding hands in unity for their common interest is just not going to happen, unfortunately for some, and fortunately for many others.

            Khidr,
I hope you are doing well.

I heard he had a 'A Loy Tajikistan' dream, what are your thoughts?

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Ahmed shah Massoud is responsible for the death of at least 50.000 people in Kabul city alone. Among his victims were many Tajiks. Not Just Pashtuns and Hazara's.

THe fact that apostate Pashtun Nationalists today praise him should come as no surprise.

After all, Secular Nationalists are the enemies of humanity. They praise and support any butcher, murder and pillager who is guilty of the most horrific crimes against humanity.

There are many books written about the crimes of Ahmed Shah Massoud in Afghanistan.

I know you are quite young and you have probably never heard about the massacres in Kabul and the ethnic wars.

I will refer to a few books inshaa allah about this particular subject.

And about secularists, Anwarul Haq Ahady, the head of Afghan Millat, even praised Ahmed Shah Massoud as a national hero.

Unfortunately, and sadly, Hazaras have always received the short end of the stick.
