  • Kushan/Kochian

So I had a debate about Kuchi people with someone recently and he told me that Kochi the word which means migration is actually taken from the word Kushan!
The Kushan empire was a kuchi time of empire they were always in move! and they had two capitals.
He also told me that the kuchian is a name giving by the Persians and it would be better to start using Kushian again.

I dont know if he is write or wrong but its very close, I mean Kuchian and Kushan!
beside that I have never heard a better explanation of Kuchian.
and as we all know the during the Kushan era Bactrian was the language of the people and we also know that Pashtu along with Pamiri are the only 2 languages closely related to Bactrian language.

    so debate...

Indeed the nomadic Kuchi tribe being the only one of its kind living in the same condition as thousands of years ago, owning land in north and south for their seasonal pasture, breeding etc can be well suitable to Kushans and their style of living.

The Kushans for some long time did not bother to build a firm capital. The Kushan empire were famous for their nomadic life style. There are tribes within kuchi which claims to be direct descendants of the loyal family the founders of Kushani empire. Further more the name "Kuchi" fits well with the description of "Chinese" historians and Buddhist Monks which often mentioned the word "Yuchi" or "Houchi" there is no doubt that Chinese description of Yuchi and modern Kuchis same or one.

                    ok lets start

first of all no one said pashtuns were jews or something, since jews didnt exist back than and they come from the tribe of juda.
so yes there is a possibility of being beni israel which has nothing to do with being jewish.

and as for bacterian language,it means that our language is macedonian and before alexander came here ,we had no language so this means we were all gongey?

Kochi comes from the word Koch, which means relocation and maybe belongings.. It is given to this group because of their nomadic nature, har wakht Koch kawih, Kochi khalag di, Kochian di.
"Sabaa Koch dai, Laalaya" - 'We are relocating tomorrow, oh beloved.'

Where the word "koch" comes from - I don't know.

Daa zma lewanay Zrra gorah, daa sta lewanee Mina..
Za ba da Sahra warnakam da Iran pa Golestan,
Dalta za yao & yakta yam, halta zar zma pa Shaan
                        .
