Why is that? Pashto also has Arabic words, would it be consider Arabic language? It's said Pashto also derived from Sanskrit.
I guess all be attacked be pro-Persians, cant ever question the "Iranic theory", w/o being verbally assaulted.
well Idiot,
Even farsi/"iranic" also has arabic words. Now if you say pashto is derived from sankrist then does it mean that pashtuns are actually hindus, indigenous to the "Sub continent"? Then why would you say being classed with iranians is "Degrading"? Then you want to believe that pashtuns have been pashtuns for over 5000 years. This is not true of ANY race in the world as being that distinct or that isolated. Everything changes, even your DNA, and more compounded and fractured every successive generation...so you think over 70 generations your tribe has been inbreeding? Don't be surprised if only 2 generations later pashtu, or whatever it will be called by then, will also include English words.

LOL are you for real?
Iranic means Aryan and has nothing to do with the modern Iran or Persians!
Our language is the closest language to Avesta! Avesta is the Aryan language.

And I havnt read the article yet.
Urdu/Hindi also has a lot of Iranic words, as Pashto, are they considered Iranic too?
Pashto, Hindi and Urdu are all Indo-Iranian languages. This group constitutes the easternmost branch of the Indo-European family of languages. However, the Indo-Iranian branch consists out of several subgroups. Hindi and Urdu belong to the Indo-Aryan group and Pashto belongs to the south-eastern branch of the Indo-Iranian group, alongside various Pamiri languages. So although from the same language family (Indo-Iranian), Pashto is very different from Urdu or Hindi.
