Imran khan is pakistani politician & former cricketer. his Important achivement (for which afghanistanis would hate him) is that he won 1992 world cup for pakistan. He belongs to mianwali (east pakhtunkhwa which is mianwali+attock). He is shermankhel niazi and consider himself a pashtun but he is a seraiki-speaker. His feelings for pashtuns are evident from his raising of voice against operations in pakhtunkha & targeting of paxtuns in karachi

Niazis, jadoons, tareens, gandapurs, miankhels & many kundis are proper pashtuns by shajra but as their pashto is weakened or lost so they are not considerd as pashtuns due to ignorance (especially by afghanistanis).

Also they are syeds, qureshis, awans, mullahs, damans, karigars etc who are not pashtuns by blood but speak pashto but they are not considerd pashtuns.

Thus it means We are non-accomodative community.

No doubt he is a pashtoon if he considers himself so.

If one doesn't like to be called as pashtoon, he can't be so. Simple.

Also the Niazi is a big n brave Pashtun tribe. The word was actually Nia-zai which converted later into Niazi. We consider all Niazis as Pashtoon either they speak Pashto or not.

There are three pakistanis here, talal, SOM and khushal khan khattak, they do not hate their country.

Afghanistan is a poor and devastated country but still you people love it, do u know why? because it is your country.

The issue with Imran Khan, the way I see it, is his own slightly over romanticised opinion of his Pashtoon past. He isn't that different to the many Hyderabadi/Dehliite/UPiite Muslims/Mohajirs in Pakistan who make the same claim and yet are the "civilised" face of Pashtoons - ezafa-ladened Urdu, courtly and having left behind their Pashto in the hills and the valleys where it is now spoken by the rough and earthy. In fact, a good many Panjabees make a similar same claim to being Pashtoon and if pressed even your Hindkoiite Hazarawals might make a point of their continuing links.

And that's just the problem with this attitude. These people want to be "Pathan", but they don't want our problems. They are instrumental in dividing us through their slightly superior claims of being better educated and with it more highly cultured. (As if the same were not possible in Pashto). We are talking of their past, one, by and large that they or their forefathers let go of. None of this in the interest of Pashtoons.

'Genuine' Pashtoons - either through bloodline - or those who have become absorbed into the culture, do not have this attitude. Even when living amongst other communities where other languages have dominance and survival means compromise, Pashtoons who care enough are willing to defend their Pashtooniyat and promote it within. Not give it up. This includes language and culture.

Questions, best answered by Imran Khan, though I will take the liberty of supposing the answers as I understand them. Does Imran Khan care enough to learn the language? Is his view of Pashtoons made up of a colonial-influenced stereotype picture of wild mountain men? Would he put being a Pashtoon before being Pakistani?

no one has to taught what the reality is, think rationally, look at the facts. if you feel proud of your ranjeet singh, i have no problem with that. I am sure you are not a pashtun, might be living among pashtun for a little while, go defend your napak land somewhere else.
