  • Pashtun youth society UK

there is the ASUK which stands for afghan society UK but many of the lead members on this group are, not to be racist but non-pashtuns and i have a friend who recently joined the group and have heard that there is lots of racism and Pashtuns are put down amongst the group.

what the group does is hold meetings regarding any issues afghans might have in the uk and also plan eid parties for families and independence day as well and other such events.

i have made a Pashtun one on fb and i hope in the future this group will be a better representative of us Pasthuns in the UK. even if your not based in the UK your more then welcome to join.

Nice initiative. A Pashtun youth society in my opinion is more beneficial since you will be dealing with the Pashtun diaspora worldwide and more than 1 nationality. You should try to get Pashtuns of both lar and bar involved so we can merge and settle our misconceptions and differences.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

thats a very good point admin khan. but for that to happen it would require people from different countries to take part and get involved, that can be a problem as at the moment i am the only one trying to sort everything out.

Is your scope the entire Pashtun diaspora or only the Pashtuns of Afghanistan?

Great, so from what I have heard there are close to 100,000 Pashtuns in the U.K

It shouldn't be heard for you to organize an effective society that can portray us positively.

This the true pic and harsh reality which is bothering us ( The Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa). We fear that we may not switch over from Punjabi bosses to Parsiban masters. You know the worst nightmare, " Out of the fire, into a fraying pan". Well, this is true.I know that any one voicing such apprehensions, is dismissed summarily as " exponent of paki agenda" on this " Afghan Forum",but I have seen such elements lamenting the same fallout in other threads, where they, unwittingly, are complled to express their hidden doubts.

Even though they are over 50 percent in parliament, president is Pashtun, chief of Army is Pashtun, and I can go on.
But the million dollar question is, whether they are pro-Pashtun, as we have so-called Pashtuns Gohar Ayub, Salim Saifullh and other stooges, who are worse than Punjabis.

"Find me Pashtuns who want to join, we go to Kandahar, Helmand, Wardak, Jalalabad and they all treat us like foreigners since we have sided with US, no one wants to join. Find me someone to join, I will recruit them. Find me someone worthy of a high position, I will give it to him. Pashtuns dont want to join the Army. I can't force them can I?"

Kandahar has over 1-2 million Pashtuns, you can hardly find them in the Army. Even the police force of Kandahar is composed of Kandaharis who are non-Pashtun. So they are Pashto speakers but not Pashtun.
I heard the other way round. It was believed that it was the gimmick of Dostam and Faheem to tilt the demography in favour of non-Pashtun in Milli Urdu and police.
