  • We are not South Asian!

    Guys,

I am not South Asian, I don't look like one, infact I have nothing in common with South Asians, nothing; my language culture and everything. I have nothing in common with Panjabis and the rest of them. Only who are affected by the some kind of virus consider themselve South Asians. Maybe a minority Pashtuns in the occupied Pashtun watan overtaken by some kind of Pakjabi fever would, who are assimilated amongst them.

Please discuss without bringing religion in to this. I know we are muslims and all that... but that is not my concern and I am not being racist. I say this bcoz ppl are quick to jump to conclusion or hijack topics with their so called Islamic rants.

Yes we are central asian. However since we are at the area where south asia and central asia meet, you will see influences of south asia. Societies adn cultures are not shaped in a vaccuum nor are static. However we are central asians for sure.

We are Central Asian. Its the region our country is in.

                India is considered South Asia.
Iran, Iraq, etc. is considered Middle East.

According to BBC, we are in South Asia.

Someone should contact them I guess.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Good topic. Whenever any Pashtoon meets me, he utters the Pashto automatically....though i can speak lesser. And when any farsiwan meets me, he speaks farsi with me 1st time. Then i say in urdu or pashto that i am an Afghan and i dont know farsi. And when any punjabi meet me 1st time, he starts speaking wid me in wrong urdu style. Definitely our race is different.

Q: WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CENTRAL ASIANS' RACE AND THAT OF ARYAANS?
