Well my dad is from paktia and my mom is from kunar. People on anthrogenica kept telling me afghans are very different from each other and that i am more like a punjabi than like other afghan pashtuns.Originally posted by Aryana View PostThe ones who look very south Asian maybe are.
I dont look south asian, and neither do my parents. I mean my dad is kinda dark but not indian looking, just tan. My mom is fair skinned and looks European. My oldest sister and I look "white," while my other sister looks tan and persian/armenianish. Most people in my family look either Pashtun or Pamiri, Turkish, Iranian, and European. I do have a cousin from my moms side who is very dark and looks kinda indian. But hes half from herat.

Idk there are no samples. They have different tribes. Some might be similar to Pamiris.Originally posted by Myanthropologies View PostNuristani people are south asian shifted? I knew kalash kinda were, but Nuristani surprises me.
Anyway don't worry too much about it, we are distinct from Indians.

NO not at all, they just have more shift toward dardic groups because of geography actually anthropologists have recorded the lightest types in the North "Eastern" region of Pashtun belt.
and being darker doesnt say south asian ancestry since there are dark types in all non european regions even those far west of pashtun regions.

Eastern Afghan tribes are historically hindus, other than naqleen Ghilzais there. One of the greatest and most original hindu area: the land of the kushans, if anything Hinduism; Vedas was written in eastern Afghanistan. Hinduism was imported to India and got localized there.
Being Pashtun is a lifestyle since it's a confederacy, you are just a western whitewash who doesn't show any respect to their ancestors.
Also, there are few individual samples from eastern Afghanistan(Non-Ghilzai) with/without Nuristani/dardic, one can access gedmatch to see admixture calculators and read for themselves, most of these calculators have a bias to a degree, much of it should be taken with a grain of salt. Much work needs to be done in developing software that will actually show an unbiased result.
Few here just wanna run a relay marathon with their OFF WHITE DILEMMA disorder.
There is this Eastern Afghan Pashtun who actually looks Jewish and even will pass in Southern Europe and his ASI/ASE is quite high.
Your genotype = phenotype hypothesis should be flushed down the sewer.Last edited by sterge; 08-18-2016, 12:11 PM.

^ that maybe true, the original Vedic religion was from the Peshawar Valley, in fact Kalash people are actually probably the closes to original vedic people, so I am guessing AFghans before Islam were similar to them. Before Hinduism, Indians had different pagan dravidian religions

Eastern Afghan Pashtuns show higher affinity to Gujrati/Punjabis in these calculators compared to Durranis and Ghilzais (most of the available individual samples). One can even check if a durrani/ghilzai shares any chromosomal segment with say some random sample from eastern Afghanistan in gedmatch its that easy.
Culture/Tradition aside it's sad how fools who don’t even know how to interpret data make statements and try passing them as truth.

Clearly you're Indian who have no idea about pure pathans of afghanistan and pakistan, being pathan is not just life style but also looks. If you don't look like a pathan then you are not pathan in pashtunwali law. If you look like a pathan but aren't like dards then you can be pashtunized and your tribe made part of pathan tribes.Originally posted by sterge View PostEastern Afghan tribes are historically hindus, other than naqleen Ghilzais there. Firstly we don't call ourselves PATHANS, only the indics calls Pashtuns Pathan you indic ****. Secondly, there is nothing called A PURE Pasthun, go school yourself. You must be a Bengali or an Indian,Pakistani whatever. Heck, you know anything about Pashtunwali. Stop making socks and misusing this forum. You are definitely one of the indics who knows how to speak pashto/dari defaming Afghans and Pashtuns in general.Originally posted by younis View PostClearly you're Indian who have no idea about pure pathans of afghanistan and pakistan, being pathan is not just life style but also looks. No Afghans/Pashtun would identify as a WHITE ugh, we have our own STRONG identity. If you do you are a SELLOUT. Go be a hand boy to your white masters eh,
Stop quoting me and wasting my time padarnalat, make some use of your existence and be a productive member of your society instead of being a keyboard warrior or just jump off your ganges and relieve a burden on humanity in general.
