What is the role of these Scouts?

This is a bit dangerous, shooting while dancing, what if someone slips as they are shooting.

BTW, Waziristanis and Paktiawals are the best attan followed by Ghilzai tribes IMO.

This is Attan of Jafar tribe from Musa Khel tribe of Balochistan. (They are Balochized Pashtuns).

That Marwat attan is not too complicated so might be good for beginners who want to learn simple beautiful attan.

The Jafar attan resembles the Chap dance of Baloch, not surprising as they are pashtunised Baloch as mentioned.

That is official equipment of waziristan Scouts? I remember reading Pak army have upgraded F.C forces over the last 7-8 years and no longer wear shalwar kameez when on duty.

But they are not going to do Attan in that uniform, also its part of their duty to wear this particular Salwar Kameez and wasket dress to perform Attan, note all are wearing the same. The Khyber rifles have "Khattak sword dance" teams and that one also require particular getup
