Really? Baluchis are desert-dwellers like Arabs, they have some Sindhi inspired customs. Only north Baluchis of mountain areas share similarities but they are minority.

The only Baluch who are close to Pashtun are the Pashtun origin ones themselves but majority of pure Baloch who are native converts/Balochified Dravidians etc are very different some of them have distant Arab or Kurdi origins but it's diluted & they only claim for pedigree

That's because most people who call themselves "Baloch" are not really Baloch but just Balochified Pashtuns or Indians who used to live in those areas. There are more Pashtuns in Baluchistan than the baloch themselves but thats because the balochis keep migrating to other countries like the Arab gulf states. Like you said most come from Pashtun tribes while a minority of them have a kurdish origins.

But Balochis are definitely closer to Pashtuns since they have the same clothing, tribal structure and even their own Pashtunwali (Mayar). Even a Baloch will tell you he feels closer to a Pashtun more than anyone else in Pakistan.
