Pakhtun, afghan and pathan.

Karachi people and sindhis think every one in north and west is 'pathan'. I had interaction with a hindko speaking amazai from kala bhut town of haripur, we were discussing MQM and he expressed his hate for MQM ,saying that they kill hazarewals in karachi and do not distinguish them from pashtuns.

yeah that sucks, i don't like MQM either, i think the biggest difference between pashtun and hindkowans is our langauge and also our women, i think it's not common for hazarewalis to wear burkas.

Not all Karachiities are bad people, in fact they voted for PTI's Samar Ali Khan(A hindkowan) for the Sindh assembly.

Ironically he's married to Atiqa Odho(member of the MQM!)

Not only from Afghanistan but even Pakistan.I thought anyone who even speak urdu is a Punjabi.Many still in my family would consider a urdu speaker as Punjabi/jatt.Majority don't even know about Baloch and Sindhi People

completely agree with this part for pashtuns everybody who speaks urdu is a punjabi hahah ,,
but what i have seen is that pashtuns in fata and balochistan are far more like da bannu mazdigar and pashtuns in kpk are also similar to him except charsadda mardan area where anp holds its grounds..

i have seen some wazirs & turis who hate afghans alot and are always talking about them by using the term muhajir which i think is ignorance,, they shudnt do that

You are right about langauge, urdu of hindkowans is not heavily accented like pashtuns. About the burqa part, pashtun women in swabi, mardan, charsada, swat, nowshera, dont wear burqa either.

Zardari was a baloch and shia but even during ppp regime , abuses were hurled towards punjabis on this forum .

before that musharaf was a muhajir

before that benazir bhutto was a sindhi

then before that farooq leghari was a seraiki baloch

before that zia ul haq was punjabi

before that ayub khan was a pathan (Cant say pashtun as he didnt speak pakhto)

i cant seem to find alot of punjabis in the history of Pakistan maybe someone can help me out .
yes there have been many people who have been born in punjab out of these past figure but they dnt count as punjabis as they have kept their ethnic names intact.

Also people think punjab is developed i think everybody needs to open their eyes that not only lahore is punjab , there are alot of other cities where u cant find basic facilities..

I think pakistan politics should be considered sindh dominated or kashmir dominated..due to this kashmir issue we are stuck i hope we pakistanis shoudl just abandon kashmir issue and look at our Western borders where we know people are much much much much better than kashmiris as a whole..

To be honest i dont care if azad kashmir is seperated from Pakistan,.i feel we our good days will start only if kashmiris leave pakistan

But nether less, Pashtun and Afghan are Synonymous with each other. I don't agree with Mr. Sohail that the Pashtuns should stop calling themselves as Afghan, it is a historical word with meaning that Pashtuns carry with pride and i don't think we should just drop it since it is a part of Pashtun history. Oddly enough, most KPK Pashtuns don't call themselves Afghan but rather just call themselves "Pukhtoon."

Whatever their ethnic group is wether that be Tajik,Uzbek,Hazara etc.

Most nationalist Tajiks refuse to label themselves Afghan but rather as "Khorssani" or just Tajik since they believe Afghan means Pashtun.

I've heard all khawajas are kashmiri, so are Butts and Nawaz Sharif is one of the richest men in Pakistan.

not all Sheikhs are migrants, Iqbal was a Sheikh and the Kashmiri Sheikhs descend from the Sapru tribe which is from Iran originally.

yes kashmiri sheikh and kashmiri khawaja might be the ones who converted from hinduism and adopted these titles.
