A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Does it bother you sometimes that RUMI is not even acknowledged as a poet on official level and the National Poet of Afghanistan happens to be a Pashtun from PASHTUNKHWA
))
It does not matter... Rumi is acknowledge by the world...from Madonna in Hollywood to Indian guris all refer to him... moreover if you happen to born and raised in Afghanistan...not some **** refugee camp..you would know that each year... the birth day of Rumi is celebrated across Afghanistan...by foreigner Minster, by cultural Minster and by Kabul univeristy...but what you will know about Afghan culture? your product of Pakistani culture...brainwashed in Pakistani madrassa to wage their coward militarily war against Afghanistan.

I'm usually fairly lenient with members, I allow members of Pakistan and Afghanistan to be able to voice their opinions. Our beloved brother Parsiwaan was gladly embraced by the Pashtuns of PF(I guess that proves our hospitality?) but its started to appear to me as if he took us for fools. I will not tolerate anyone running around and insulting respected members of PashtunForums. Its not Pashtun-like. Zarawar,Millitpal and Dawezai, I apologize on his behalf.Originally posted by Dawezai View PostSome people register on Afghan/Pashtun forums only to create rifts between the different ethnic groups of Afghanistan. They also waste a good deal of our time on none-issues. I request friends to ignore such people. I also request the admins/mods of this good website to please not allow such people who preach hatred, racism and extremism.
Thanks.
