  • Arabization of Pashtun people

I wanted to read your opinions about the Arabization of Pashtuns on both sides of the border. The Arab migration is not new in Afghanistan. It can´t be limited to the Jihad-era against the Soviet socialist ultra-state. Arabs came in large waves from Central Asia and Middle-East to Afghanistan in the last 100years (for example Mojadeddi and Gailani family). While Arabs who settled in Afghanistan before Jihad became fully assimilated and integrated into our society, Arabs coming for Jihad still act and behave as Arabs. According to official state sources (government sources) we have alone in Kandahar 60 000 Arabs living there. The last time when I asked one of those walis (3 weeks ago) about the number of Arabs and new-comers, one told me that the number of Arabs is much higher than the state has declared. Alone in Kandahar 120 000 to 180 000 people live who are originally Arabs coming mostly in the last century and a vast majority of them during the Jihad. Their number is increasing. The new-comers bring with them their religious ideologies as Jihadists from Maghreb did. Under the frame of Jihad they influence the society and our country. I heard that Mujadeddi and his son want to open Arab schools in Afghanistan coming next year. What is your thought? I don´t like Arabs at all. They are loud and violente and very intolerante toward other people.

Modern Arab nationalism can be traced from the days of the Ottoman Empire. It was transformed under British and French colonial rule. It underwent more changes while the Arabs struggled against Israel and then the US.

The next stage of Arab nationalism came in the form of al-Qaeda and "global jihad". It is a reaction to the humiliation that they've been facing for the last 100 years. It's about reclaiming Arab pride.

Arabs consider non-Arabs (especially Afghans and south Asians) as inferior people. Even Assyrians, Egyptians, Berbers and other originally non-Arab people whose cultures and languages have been wiped out by centuries of Arab culture and military imperialism look down on non-Arabs. An Arab will never accept an Indian religious scholar or a mujajideen leader. Even during Mullah Omar's rule in Afghanistan, the Arabs answered to Osama bin Laden and not the inferior Pashtun. After all, they speak Arabic (the language of the Quran) and are the same people as Prophet Mohammad so they are superior to us in every way.

There are a sizable amount of Arabs in Afghanistan i mean Hamid Karai's wife who is a Querashi, is a Pashtunized Arab from Kandahar. I think that number is a bit of though, 60,000 sounds to high. Arab didn't really contribute to the gene pool of Afghans, if they did we would find some J1 Pashtuns.

But why do you hate Arabs? they are our Muslim brothers.

That only applies to some gulf arabs not arabs in general.

do you have a link to the sources you are citing? nowhere near 100,000 arabs came to afg/pak during the soviet jihad.

the mojadidis are pashtunized and the gailanis are a bunch of drunks. i don't know about the rest of the post because i don't live in afg, but considering that there are millions of afghans living in other peoples countries, we probably shouldn't care too much about some arabs in afg.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Coming from you who defends pedophiles like Gul Agha Sherzai and says that defending pedophiles is necessary to fight Pakistan ... those Arabs are better than you at least when it comes to child molestation.

Maybe those Arabs can teach people like Bostan News Agency that having sex with little boys is disgusting and harram.

Mujadiddis are from India actually and Gailanis are descendants of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani who came from Iran.
