I don't know if the Punjabis that I know are 'city dwelling bachay' but if you say that the villagers are taller then I will take your word. Haven't been to Punjab at all so I can't judge the different regions. I can only make an assumption judging by what I see and I see that most Punjabis that I know are between 5'5 to 5'7 for both men and women.

Well, height has nothing to do with whether you are from an urban area or from the city. It's purely genetics.

But village life is more pure, and the work that people have to do definitely enhances their physical attributes.

It's definitely the same for Pashtuns in KPK, FATA, or Afghanistan.

But I thought height is a quantitative trait? There are some genetics involced but nutrition, lifestyle and environment also play a major role in determining how tall someone would be. Obviously, some ethnic groups tend to be taller at an average, due to how their genes adapted to their environment.

I suppose you could throw us Baluch in there too. Some of us can be quite tall. My grandad is 6'7 and my brother is 6 feet at 15 years (mashAllah :-D).

Dutch is not Turkey's local language. who told you that? No one in turkey speaks dutch. Dutch is spoken in Netherlands and Belgium which is way far away from turkey. Dutch has nothing to do with turkey.
