Isa khel is largest section of Niazis, living in isa khel tehsil of mianwali. They dont identify themeselves as separate tribe but as niazis.

Not exactly, what about yousaf-zai, orak-zai, ghil-zai and so on? Very large tribes are now broken down into different distinct tribes. E.g my marwat tribe is branch of lohani tribe . Lohani itself is branch of lodhi tribe. The other famous branches of lodhi tribe are niazi, suri, dotani, kundi, mian khel etc. They all consider themeselves distinct tribes but acknowldge the fact that they are related to each other and that they are all "lodhiyan".

There are some Lodhis in Mardan. I met a family in Mardan, Baghdada. They told me they are Lodhis. Some of my other acquaintanceship who live in Malakand are also Lodhis.

Some kaums are known for name of area or famous ancestor. Momands, i dont know. Even the two areas dont explain the original meaning as in the momand agency in pk and momand darra in ningarhar.
One theory is, it is derived from Mah Mun. Mah Mun means beautiful. Mamund are basically Ghori Khel and cousins of Yousafzais. They have some connection with Ghor Afghanistan. May be during 9th-10th Century they spoke Dari or Persian.

Swati mostly speak Pashto, some speak Hindko. But then some Yousafzai also speak Hindko e.g. in Attok Shadi Khan---which was founded by a Yousafzai stalwart Shadi Khan.

If you are a Turk from Pakhli Hazara, you may be biased against Swatis because Swatis under the command of Jalal Baba and aided by Yosafzais, expelled Turks from Mansehra.

Yes i have heard about them, they are perhaps the remnants of the main lodhi tribe who migrated to hindostan and established their rule there. As for as i know remnants of lodhi tribes were defeated and expelled from their homeland ghor towards east by their powerful rivals and cousins, ghiljays. In my opinion if these ludins are not large in number and are not concentrated in one place then they might be the descendants of few lodhis who returned back to afghanistan after mughal rule started in hindostan.....

Thanks for the info, but historically after afghans invaded swat and expelled the dalazak( consider swat as their original home, as they used to belong to swat that's why they call themselves swati) from swat. Some times they are also called Zara swatian( old swatis) some associated with swat were from betaney tribe.

People who are called or known as swati are the different pashtun tribes living in Swat valley when Yousafzai's attacked them and made to leave their homeland. Most of them came to Hazara division and pushed Turks towards east. some swati tribes are Panjgor, Gebari etc.

Ha ha ha ha I am Isakhel not turk. Infact turk is the abbreviation of my name Tanzil Ur Rehman Khan. I can never be biased against swatis. My mother was Swati. I know many swatis other than my maternal relatives only few of them including my mother and grand father were pashto speaking.

The Swatis are a Pashtun tribe of the Batani tribal confederacy of the Afghans, inhabiting the Hazara region in the Kyber Pakhton khwa province and the Provincially Administrated trible ares of Pakistan, mostly in the districts of Manshera and Batagram and to some extent in Kohistan as well, but a number of Swati lineages are settled in the Kashmir region. The Swatis are the largest tribal group of land owners in Manshera and Battagram
