  • Kissing hands of Elderly

Why is this such a common practice in our culture? I have been told that it is out of respect to the person... now is it?

Do we respect all of our elderly people... even when they are jerks..who backbite...and do not like us at all.

Kissing on hand is very rare at our side. But elders kiss their youngsters on forehead its very common.

If you weren't so gutless, I would suggest that you point out their hypocrisy, lying and manipulating habits to them. No body would want to kiss you or expect you to kiss their hands after that.. But, since you are a spineless coward, I would like to suggest that you quit whinning and get on with the kissing business.

            and honestly..

your rants are not cute... they might have been cute.. when you were 3 or 4..and were telling off your parents.. but you are a grown woman..and should act like one because if you don't then you will get told off by everyone.. cuz half of the time you don't make sense..and this sentence is getting too long for others to understand..

we have this family friends from Mardan, so once they came over our house in peshawar and since I am a gentle and polite person oh yeah, I went to the guest room to greet them. The male greeting part went well but when I shook hands with some of the ladies, they kissed my hand too and the awkwardness began with someone getting red too hehe. There you go I blessed you all with a story of my life.

Yeah the elder ladies do sometime at Mardan side. Even their younger ladies shake hands with boys. But shaking hands and such is considered very awkward at our side.
