So, have a nice day with washing clothes, Granny.

      yes 'n no..

yes cuz one thing I 've noticed with young divorced women , usually those who got married in their teens, is their amazing maturity 'n attractive personality.. those 've usually been thru so much 'n 've experienced such an disasterious marriage that this time they 're 1000% cautious,, they want to make no more mistakes.. I'm the type of person who gets extremely irritated by women in their twenties acting like a 2 yrs old, I'd much rather be with a divorced but a mature 'n sensible woman !!

'n no IF they got children.. I do want to marry an Afghan 'n I know how immaturely Afghan parents can get when it comes to their children's custody.. not to forget the possible attitude of her children which might not suit , besides I 've never been good in treating other people's children with love .

So much hatred in one so young.

I am actually an "Oma" which is German for granny. But yes, I have 5 wonderful grandchildren aged between 2 and 11.

As to washing clothes, I would suggest you are kind to your mum and maybe she will wash them for you. I did all of my, and my son's washing on Sunday.

You're still under control now as we speak; but instead of private property; you're public property, exploited by the institutional mass. Corporations control almost all of your societal cultural fabric. You're nothing but an extension of ideals, perceptions and constructs that they have conditioned you to idealize. It's made you gullible enough to believe that "trying before you buy" to dupe you into accept being used.

Perhaps you would like to elaborate on whose patriarchal approval I need to obtain?
Well Laws, Government, and Institutions are all extensions of male defined power structures. If they didn't protect or give sanction and even manufactured the ideals you place weight upon, then the constructs that they have instilled in you, would not be feasible. It simply doesn't work on its own.

Really what you perceive of as women empowerment; is actually women being used as tools by certain Men ( the ones who run the institutions) against other men.

Where is my enslavement? My job? I agree it is a bit of a drag at times, but my salary is well above the male average income, so I am not complaining.
Concept of salary is a male defined power structure. So you're controlled by their psychological manipulations as evidenced here. Even the concept of monetary exchange is a male defined process, which you submit to.

Or maybe the bank? You could argue that I am enslaved to the bank like everybody who has a mortgage.
Even though that's not directly what I was referring to; you strike an interesting point.

The commercial/economic enterprise that rules of your society wh ich subjugates you into an unnatural/abnormal way of life. This leads to being duped ithat your society empowers you as a woman, while it violates you by keeping you pacified with this manufactured diversions.

Little mantras used for mind control to keep you compliant to institutions which alienate you from your intrinsic drives.

My genes are just fine, just in case you are wondering. I come from a strong and proud Austrian background and although I haven't lived in my native country for more than 40 years, I still love Austria with all my heart, a love I have passed on to my children and grandchildren.

Good to know you are a grown up man, so is my 21 yo son, but he still has his mum look after him.

You have an interesting way of skewing things, but believe what you wish, it is of no consequence. Be my guest, belittle women if this makes you feel like a man. You are not the first and you will not be the last man snapping at my heels like a rabid dog. I am not a woman who can be intimidated by a mere male.

Yes, there are laws that protect my rights, I was among the women fighting for those laws in Australia. The first part of the equal opportunities legislation, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender and race, was only enacted around 1980 and part of my job was to ensure that this legislation was introduced and adhered to at my place of work, something I did with gusto. Of course, this has since been expanded to include ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation and age, I believe that this is an exhaustive list, I can't think of anything else.

As I was heading for the door at the end of my first marriage, my sweet, adorable ex said to me "You'll never make it without me". At that I spun around and said "Well, you better stand back and watch me!".

I not only 'made it' without him, I went a whole lot further and did exceedingly well. I did it for myself. I decided I had enough of 'kissing princes that turned into frogs' and drew the line after two failed marriages. It is astounding what you can achieve if all of your attention is focuesed on a single goal.

"alienate you from your intrinsic drives" please explain what you believe my "intrinsic drives" are. I'm after power. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have come into this forum in the hope of connecting with a divorced or widowed woman doing it tough in Afghanistan. I would like to sponsor, support and teach such a woman to achieve all that she is capable of and then to rub it into the noses of those men in her country who do not consider her to be worthy of marriage. In fact, my goal would be to coach her to be way above her countrymen.

I'd rather not travel to Afghanistan, from a woman's perspective, it doesn't sound like a very pleasant place to be. For a start, I doubt that the Taliban and I would be on the same page and I though I am not afraid of death per se, I don't want it to be violent.

The amazing thing is that although statistics tell me that Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries in the world, with an appalling life expectancy, it doesn't feature on World Vision, which is my preferred charitable organisation.

I have considered trying to get a woman and her children of the 'boat people' that seem to arrive daily, to come and stay with me in my home, but the Australian govenrment is determined to keep the boat people in detention centres.

So if you want to make yourself useful, do you have any ideas? Instead of knocking every word I say, come up with something constructive. As I said, my focus is on empowering women and to look after the interests of children - which goes hand in hand.

                          • I think every one would like to express noble sentiments but the fact is there really isn't much place for a divorced woman in our society and culture they become social outcasts, it is unfortunate and unfair because men dont get the same treatment but it is...
It's enough that I know, Our time had a home, In your heart..Was a place..But the glass always breaks..

I have no intention of 'buying'. But my youngest son is grown up now, so next year, when I head off to Europe - Austria of course, Italy, maybe France, Croatia and even Greece, I have every intention of being a cougar on the prowl. Who is the hunter and who is the prey? Who is using who?

Talal, that is exactly the reason why I want to connect one of those outcasts in your society. To lift her up above being a social outcast, to help her to stand on her own two feet without needing a man. To do what I have done with my life.
