I have a picture maybe you can imagine the daily life better,
we do work, drink tea in the fields, playgames, get home eat something together,at the afternoon we sit and do either some poetry, quran, nasheeds,if there is wedding somewhere in the near,we visit them do some attan (national dance),if anyone died we visit their relatives.

there are rivers, alot of streams almost every place where people live, there is a water source from the mountains with clean water.

Life in the mountains is very hard, especially in the winter time. There is no electricity, no running water. No modern heat equipment. Most people have to collect firewood during the fall to have enough supplies for the winter, they have to go up to the mountains from the valleys to collect the firewood, its like a 3 hour hike one way. Its very hard to travel in the winter time since most of the passes are snowed in. The weak will die from some sickness since there is no modern medical facility. People do help each other out, so your never alone.

The summer times are nicer, the snow melts and the rivers flow clean cool water. Their are many water springs in the mountains. People have alot of celebrations in the spring and summer times, visiting each other villages, having get togethers, afghan style BBQ, attan dancing, wrestling competitions and husay(wrestling on one leg) which occasionally turns into a real fist fight.
Most people farm their land, people travel by hiking most of the time. If someone wants to find other work they have to either goto a big citiy or a town.

Survival is very hard, resources are scarce and disputes arise often over those resources.

                  You have desribed it perfectly.

We also don't have electricity in our village and we use communal generators which are in the bazaar.
Richer people have private generators. What I find odd is that in our district, and village in particular, people use solar power.
There are panels and satellite dishes on almost every house.

Men also have hujra/majlis/betak at night, where friends meet at someone's house. Usually there is food, music, chillum and sometimes entertainers of the female sort.

In our village, most people are agriculturalists and raise livestock.

Oh Ok. there are a few families that have generators in our village but they turn it mostly in emergency occasions. I have not seen any solar equipment in our area but its actually a pretty good idea. I also think that wind power and hydro power is good source of energy. It hardly ever rains in the valley, mostly in the moutnains. We are not utilizing the potential that is there.

                          Are you from Aryob?

I believe most places do not have solar panels and Urgun was the first time I heard about solar power being used anywhere in Pashtunistan.

Wind power would be great for Pashtuns, but hydro wouldn't suit a few areas which suffer from drought/less rain and deserts.
