Does any singing form of poetry can be named qawaali or does qawaali refers to a specific singing form with specified lenght of the verse, rhythm...?

Thank you Tor Khan.
Forgive me my ignorant question about semantic field of qawaali in Pashto. Does it have any hmm... more colloquial meaning? Could it be used for any (religious?) singing form?
BTW why English transliteration is qawwali, not qawaali? pffffدلته دم او قدم دواړه په حساب دي - پل په لاره غلط مه ږده بې حسابه

^Someone more knowledgeable is welcome to chime in, but as far as I know, most qawwalis that I have heard have been in Urdu or Urdu and Panjabi/Urdu and Farsi. It is more Mughal/North Indian. I have not heard qawwalis in Pashto.
English transliteration of قوالي ? I would have gone for qawaali too. Qawwali may have something to do with the way some (Panjabis??) begin the second syllable. For me I would put the syllable emphasis after the و and before ا thus it would look like قو / الي though I have heard Panjabis put the stress on the و thus you might hear something like قو / والي where the و sounds like the English 'v'/'w'.
