      Thanks for sharing it here

PS 1... Many khattaks have not the word Attan in their Pashto. They use the word Balbala for it. I dont know if there is any difference between Attan and balbala.

PS 2... Many Khattaks are serving Pakistan Army on the base of this Balbala. I have some Vids in my Laptop of this Khattak dance in Army programs, downloaded by Youtube.

This dance or whatever is only related to the Southern Khattaks, i.e. Karak, and even then, there are many flaws and misconceptions about it.

And it is not as common as you people might think, the Army is the only place where this dance happens, no where else among Khattaks.

Sorry to say....Bangi khel khattaks in Mianwali and Saghri khattaks of attock are preserving their culture of Attan/balbala, especially on wedding ceremonies. Their, even a little kid knows this specific dance. They just need drums and Surrnai
              Yes army is also preserving!

It is a famous quote for khattaks of attock:
"If u want to kill a khattak harshly, tie him with a tree and start beating the drums"

                    Hello the Son of Mountains,
I am really thankful to you that you discussed the area far beyond the seen. The third one video ( Khattak in Action) that’s from my area surrounding the CHHAB Railway station at Multan railway track. That’s the place calld NARRA at last BANI AFGHAN. There is all saghri khattaks. The wonderful stony area. I would like to shear with you, that the mountains!!!! There are very lovely, rounded peaks. In summer blowing fire and winter freezing stones. Especially February to may its splander the colors, with fragrance of wild flowers and if you pick the stone normally you can’t through back due to the colorful imagery extremely flowing musical lines like their fast dancing. I thought that flow comes from their traditional and expected warrior nature. also there are the peoples are very talented and highly educated, dedicated personalities but the land still lay backward. That’s very awful query.

I have a few frnds who r Saghry khattaks....they r really nice n loving people. Attock is very much sweeeeeeeet city! I wish to be settled there with my family.
And the word in red that is warrior represents khushaal khan khattak. It was told me that before jang, it was style of Khushaal Baba to blow surrnai to collect the people. There is some poetry too, of Khushaal baba on Surrnai
