When the quality of "entertainment" that is vomitted up out of the Peshawar media scene, I guess we can't complain that Tajiki/Tajikistanis don't have a good grip on our culture.

There's a whole list of them - Dilnaz, Hadiqa Kiyani, Deeyah, Sharon Osser etc. and many, many more who see the commercial benefit in performing using Pashto language. Frankly, as the previous post says, watching them is less embarassing than watching us, mispronuciation notwithstanding.

A couple of yrs ago i met this new singer in kabul. He had recently returned from Tajikistan after making a video.
He gave me his cd which i never watch till today lol, but i saw one of his clips on youtube.. some 5 to 10 tajikistani girls wearing Traditional Afghani dress dancing on stage.

I really didnt like it because those clothes are worn by our proud Pashtanai and were worn by women like Malalai and Nazo.

2nd thing is that many of them specially tajikistani singers come up with pashto songs n music wearing naked clothes.
I have the example of it,, this girl ruined the beautiful song of Ustad shah wali which i really love.

So now you ppl decide .. is it helping our culture or pashtunizm or destroying it?

This woman is not just a very bad singer. She is also extremely ugly. Looks like one of those bacha-berish fro those bacha bazi video's on youtube.

Let women from Tajikistan wear Afghan clothes, as if we Pashtuns care about our culture and people.

May some dont care about their culture but i am damn proud of it and i care alot.

How can people here say its runing our culture because the way shes dressed, there are people here who promote short sleeves and jeans which is in honest opinion no different than what the girl is wearing on the video.

Let her sing what she wants, because even if somebody opposes her as being a tajik, they are deemed as racist and a not good pashtun.

It seems you still haven't understood the argument in those posts. What a shame.

Whats so shameful in what i wrote.

If a Afghan woman can wear Jeans and short sleeve tops, but then criticise a Tajik woman wearing an Afghan dress, what difference does it make.

There is nothing shameful about what you wrote. I do not side those who 'promote' short sleeves (in the presence of non-mahrams, of course), nor do I advocate jeans. It is a figure of speech; that it seems you missed the point in the posts you referred to in your previous post.

And I don't think this thread is limited to dress. =)

Stop being the xenophobic moles. There is nothing wrong with these Tajiks singing Pashtu. I like the first video, it sounds funny and nice these Tajiki girls singing for us. And Mullah Sangar thinks she looks like bacha bersih..hahaha. lol

It makes me laugh when I see people like Marwat and others from Peshawar faking and hyping up about Pashtun culture and music when their whole music entertainment is exclusively the squeaky monkeys some one explained early, jumping up and down and . These ones at least has more class than you Mujrah girls exported from Panjab. I am not condoning the immodist cloths being wore (I hardly see anything revealing any way) by these girls, but they are still more modest and 'bahaya' than the monkeys jumping at the back for Nazia Iqbal. I agree with torkhan.
