  • To all non-Pashtun PF members

I wonder why some non-Pashtun members come to the forum and openly criticize and insult Pashtuns. And I still wonder why the Pashtun members tolerate it. More, sometimes I have impression that Pashtun members let the others to come among them and interfere in their affairs.
Sometimes the forum looks like miniature of Afghanistan. Strangers come and trying to pursue their own goals stir Pashtuns.

Let's behave like guests here and don't overusing the famous Pashtun hospitality. We can express our opinions, share knowledge, socialize etc but don't offend our hosts and let them solve their problems among themselves.

That is a very good question. Why do non Pashtuns disrespect Pashtuns in here?? Because Pashtuns in here have no respect for people other than themselves. It's good to be proud of one's self but you don't have to be a jerk to everyone else in the process to the point where that pride is replaced by embarrassment and nuisance. All the sacrifices the has been gone through in order to gain that reputation is going to waste here in pf.*
I have never in my life came across such narrow minded patronizing condescending *ignorant fools before and trust me, I have seen some really messed up people out there.

first rule of hospitality yasmeenah, no matter how bad the guest is ..a gracious host never mentions his/her own hospitality...atleast thats what they taught us

@Talal - of course you are right but sometimes it looks like some people come as non guests. I think Pashtuns have also set of words, semantic field related to the idea of a guest.

Paraphrasing your words I could ask if let's say Americans are guests in Afghanistan...

its not about semantics or anything, i think the problem can be solved by the mods..i mean some of the threads are obviously meant to flame and stuff (the one about a non-pashtun marrying some girl or whatever), my point is that clearly you can see that this kind of discussion is not really going to be productive so in those cases i think it would be much better to just pre-emptively close such discussions and get rid of those members.

I understand how you feel about this though, it is a pashtun community and i dont think there is a single pashtun who doesn't know about the atrocities that are being committed..for non-pashtuns to come here and rub it in just seems in extremely poor taste.

On the other hand what DZJ said above is very much true and while all people may not be like that, almost everyone (pashtuns and non-pashtuns alike) needs to work on this aspect and tone down on this self-pride and our huge egos a bit

I agree with DZJ ...Pashtuns bring it on themselves; maybe if Pashtuns showed an inkling of humility they'd be respected more
