Are you sure that the Quran doesn't allow it? 'Cause, yes, it's true that the Quran allows Muslim men to marry women from the People of the Book.... But can you cite at least one verse where the Quran doesn't allow Muslim women to marry men from the People of the Book? (It tells Muslims that they may not marry disbelievers/polytheists at all, and this is a command for both Muslim men and women.)

Flips sake the quran doesnt allow marriage to non muslim men... it does allow marriage to muslim men regardless of ethnicity.... The quran is your book isnt it? or is pashtunwali more important to u?

In Quran-e-Sharif it is also said 'try to marry someone from your own kind', so even the Quran-e-Sharif supports marriage within your own tribe because your 'own kind' understand you better and will have less difficulty is adjusting with your culture and family. I don't think there is anything wrong if people say they prefer Pukhtoons marrying Pukhtanas, same wise I also think it's totally up to the person himself which ethnic he wants to marry and which not. Your life, you are the one who has to live with it.

The quran doesnt allow it... if it did it wld state it clearly.. reasons for this the Torah/talmund would want the conversion of the female 2 judiasim for it is the mother who determines if the child is a jew so it wld be unthinkable for a orthodox jewish man to marry a non jewish lady for any offspring he had wld be non jew... he wld therefore require conversion on her part as for chrsitinaity while paul in his letters made no restriction for christians 2 marry non christians many eastern orthdox sects ( prevelent at Islams start) wanted babtisim for any female spouse, quran protects the ahle kitabs females from conversion 2 islam unless they choose 2 enter it

on one side they are being done in by farsi zuban and the other punjabies and we pashtuns are still dumb enough 2 immitate both!

You seriously have difficulty in understand things, don't ya? I didn't say in Islam only marriage within your own tribe is allowed. In Islam it's recommended to marry the people of your own kind and those you can adjust with, in other words; Marriage outside your tribe isn't forbidden as long as he is a Muslim, but marriage within your own tribe is recommended. So if people say they don't want to marry non-Pukhtoons then I don't understand why others bring our religion into this because even our holy book doesn't tell you not to prefer your own tribe.

And about our prophet, he also had a reason to marry women of several religions and several areas because spreading Islam into more bigger areas was needed. We can't compare him with any ordinary man.
