      I got 99 problems but a girl ain't one...

Here is a friendly advice to all you girls complaining about men:

Girls who complain about their problems at greater risk of developing anxiety and depression

A researcher at the University of Missouri-Columbia has found that girls who talk very extensively about their problems with friends are likely to become more anxious and depressed.
The research was conducted by Amanda Rose, associate professor of psychological sciences in the College of Arts and Science. The six-month study, which included boys and girls, examined the effects of co-rumination – excessively talking with friends about problems and concerns. Rose discovered that girls co-ruminate more than boys, especially in adolescence, and that girls who co-ruminated the most in the fall of the school year were most likely to be more depressed and anxious by the spring.
“When girls co-ruminate, they’re spending such a high percentage of their time dwelling on problems and concerns that it probably makes them feel sad and more hopeless about the problems because those problems are in the forefront of their minds. Those are symptoms of depression,” Rose said. “In terms of anxiety, co-ruminating likely makes them feel more worried about the problems, including about their consequences. Co-rumination also may lead to depression and anxiety because it takes so much time – time that could be used to engage in other, more positive activities that could help distract youth from their problems. This is especially true for problems that girls can’t control, such as whether a particular boy likes them, or whether they get invited to a party that all of the popular kids are attending.”
The study involved 813 third, fifth, seventh and ninth grade students. The participants answered questionnaires that assessed co-rumination, depression, anxiety and the quality of their best friendship in the fall and spring of the school year.
Ironically, although co-rumination was related to increased depression and anxiety, Rose also found that co-rumination was associated with positive friendship quality, including feelings of closeness between friends. Boys who co-ruminated also developed closer friendships across the school year but did not develop greater depressive and anxiety symptoms over time.
“For years, we have encouraged kids to find friends who they can talk to about their problems, and with whom they can give and receive social support,” Rose said. “In general, talking about problems and getting social support is linked with being healthy. What’s intriguing about theses findings is that co-rumination likely represents too much of a good thing. Some kids, especially girls, are taking talking about problems to an extreme. When that happens, the balance tips, and talking about problems with friends can become emotionally unhealthy.”
Rose said adolescents should be encouraged to talk about their problems, but only in moderation and without co-ruminating.
“They also should engage in other activities, like sports, which can help them take their minds off their problems, especially problems that they can’t control,” she said.
The study, “Prospective Associations of Co-Rumination With Friendship and Emotional Adjustment: Considering the Socioemotional Trade-Offs of Co-rumination,” will be published in the July issue of Development Psychology.

I only hope chauvinists like you could show the same manhood in foreign countries as well, life would be perfect all over the globe for us pukhtanay.

I'd love it if my man would live the perfect life i.e.

                  - Wake up at Fajar
                  - Get dressed and drive the kids to school as I shouldn't really be able to drive
                  - Then he can get himself to work and do a hard 9-5 shift, if he’s fortunate that is! I mean, he being the sole earner he'll probably even have a weekend job to make ends meet
                  - He can then go out shopping after his tiring day because we're not allowed to and unable to drive
                  - Before any relaxing he'd have to again take the kids out for Quran lessons or other extracurricular activities
                  - At the end of the day I’d lay out a lovely feast for him only that he'd be too tired to eat it
                  - He can also spend his weekends labouring on outdoor tasks like gardening or washing the car as I'd not be allowed to myself and hiring someone would break my pardah
                  - I'll also only book doctor and other appointments when he's home as I won't be allowed to drive the kids or myself anywhere
                  - Similarly we can go shopping for other stuff only when he’s around, or I rather he does that alone too, he can worry his little head over what to buy and where to get it from

And this is just the average everyday stuff I can think of from the top of my head, there is so much more to life and getting a man to run around fulfilling it would be the best thing on earth

Basically, I could be a lady of leisure while he's the real servant around me. All I do is clean, wash, cook, and satisfy him, which really isn't much effort for a woman anyway
Our men really do all this, drive the kids to school , work provide , do the shopping ect , great men we have , long live great men.

You can't compete against us. Not in sports. Not in war. Not in technology or Science. You are only good as servant. That is why you get hired as secretaries. That is why Momar Ghadafi has 200 female body guards. Because by the nature of your design, you are just a follower....always loyal to the company, the boss, the department etc etc etc...
Just look at your bodies...you have fat all over you...lose it and you lose all appeal. And you know you are nothing more than ornaments so you dress like that too and even paint your self like easter eggs to decorate the space you take up.

My brain can not process this. WHAT IS THIS?
Alchemist are you insulting women? Are you saying men are better than all women ever? Are you saying Moammar Gaddafi is better than Bibi Hawa or mariam or Khadija ??? How can you generalize about women like that and not think of Hazrat Aisha (r) for a second ?

Did you really write all that?
Are you a man? are you sure? cause you can be anyone sitting on the other side of this screen.

If you are using a female brain, I can understand why you can't process it.

                              I made my self clear:

                              Following on that theme -
We don't know much about the Queens of Paradise - Khadija and Fatima, Assiya wife of Pharoh and Mariam daughter of Imran and the many other unknowns for whom the glad tidings were given. And that is one of the qualities that make them who they are.

However... Aisha (rahimaha allah) did blunder by raising an army against the Caliph of the time and she aknowledged her mistake after remembering The Messengers (sallallahu alihi wa salam) prophecy in regards to her actions. And it was said later by Ali (KarimAllahu Wajhu) that this was proof that women should not be in position of leadership.
Bibi Hawa ...well, we all know that one.

But then again, if you read my posts, I never implied that women are morally worse than men. Never did I say this in any way. It is just a fact of life that there are more criminal men than women... men murder, steal, pillage, rape and destroy a heck of a lot more than women (and they do the opposite even more of too). My contention was that women shouldn't aspire to be men and try to compete in "manly" spheres of life. And most of the complaints that women folk here have is that they want more "freedom"...to travel...for work or otherwise. Personally I think this is because of the media. In the past two decade or so more television shows, video games and movies have put forward an image of "warrior women"...indepandent and free to roam the earth like lions - like Xena warrior princess. Obviously Connan the Barbarian can kick Xena's behind any day of the week. And only in works of fiction can such an unhealthy portrayal of lesbianic amazonian warrior women exist. In reality there is no Xena or Buffy the Vampire Slayer or G.I Jane or Lara Croft or Wonder woman. And so you shouldn't act like you are..and if you do - then you are just a tool.
