Why dont you just grow yourself a beard, wear that Arab skirt and be a good dedicated Muslim. What other women do weather they are Pashtun or not, is not your business. If you raise your sister or daughter with respect then they will be respectible, trying to enforce Pagan Arab rituals such as Burqas will not make your females holy saint like individuals who committ no sin.

This discussion is really getting childish, in my observation overly protective men themselves are usually the culprits and because they themselves mess around,, they are usually fearful if they let their females some freedom, the females might go overboard.

I am sad to say this is true of Afghan/Pashtun culture, While the men can have secret girl friends, the girls are supposed to sit at home and wait for their knight in shining armour. Hypocracy at its best. The males will use swear words and check out girls all day long but women are kept like farm animals.

I done condone excessive freedom which is beyond our relilgion and culture but if your gonna apply the rules then they should be applied regardless of gender.

With all due respect you sound ridiculous how can you not grasp the simple fact that having classmates of the opposite gender talking to the opposite gender when needed is something you have to do, however linking up with the opposite sex to socialise for no reason is a different story, as if said things have their limits. With the approach you have it would be acceptable to go to a club/disco because we live in the west. You live were you want but keep your core values, a core value for a Pashtun is not to intermingle with someones sister/mother/wife for the sole reason to hang out or see how people look in real life.
