Hahaha, I am astounded by the misplaced notions of these spoiled generations in the West ... I think they are completely lost living in a world of illusions...lost to their societies of origin as well as to the West their new homes...they are of use to no one...lost to the entire humanity...

I have observed the very same. A couple of years back I went to a guys home here in USA, his brother had arranged for every one to immigrate 10-20 years back. I sat in his living room, would you believe it, it was an exact replica of a living room(beetak) I saw in a village in PK over 20 years ago, same curtains, same sofas, same wall posters/picutres, lava lamp, everything the same. In his mind that was home/watan. Nothing had changed, he did not realize that nobody in their right mind will have a living room like that " beetak" in watan anymore but he is clinging on. Same with his demeanor, Imported a young wife, after womanizing with a prostitute a day for years and with young girls of his own, who consider him a pimp, he has now sidelined her and imported another one. You wont here nothing but musalmani, pakhtoo and how the women should be chained from him.

according to islam, most of these things mentioned girls are allowed to do. the problem is that in the islamic world there are cultural restrictions on women that have nothing to do with islam. Even in saudi arabia the restrictions are cultural rather then islamic and unfortunatly islam gets blamed for all the negative things happening to women in the muslim world

why are these cultural things in the Muslim world only? Is purdah cultural or Islamic?

Nokia Bacha tha bya da Marikhi shoro ka....Anyhow, these people are mis-propagating what I or other liberalists say...We don't advocate any sort of Western or other society but want bigger role for Pashtun women....Pashtun women doctors, engineers, pilots, judges, police officers, pilots, etc....Obviously these things can be accomplished withing the bounds of a progressive interpretation of Pashtun Culture...
