I don\'t know of many Pashtuns who study Persian for pleasure. Almost all the ones I know who know the language grew up in Afghanistan, where Dari is spoken widely. Not sure where you meet the ones who choose to learn it themselves. Me, I love it because I have this intense love for languages in general. My current loves are Arabic and Persian, both of which I am crazy about. (However, if you must know, I was initially compelled to take the language as part of the curriculum for my major. Only while studying it did I realize I loved it this much.)

Rest, feel free to think whatever you wish. I don\'t believe in imposing a viewpoint or language or culture on others, so the rest of your comment doesn\'t apply to me, and I am merely amused by it. It is true, however, that Farsi has driven many people mad. The great Muhammad Iqbal wrote that he preferred Farsi to all other languages he knew because it was the one language he could express himself most eloquently in. I feel that way about English, though.

Farsi is a beautiful language but your people divided us by creating Dari on purpose. That is the problem with your people.

We all know, that Afghanistan is under the control of Parsiwan, as most of the ANA is made up of the Parsiwan. We also know, that the mayor of Kabul, Hazrat Karzai saib, is extremely isolated and vulnerable to these Parsiwan, so much so that the new cabinet excludes many of his supporters....we all know, that most of the development schemes initiated by international organizations happened in non-Pukhtoon areas, like the North and most aid is directed there as well. We also know, that Pukhtoons of the South and East are under a brutal campaign of shock and awe guided by NATO and directed by mostly the Parsiwan ANA.

This minority, has benefited so much in the past 10 years, in a country that is called Awghan-e-stan i.e. The Land of the Afghans (Pukhtoons), that statistics are doctored to legitimatize their monopoly over the majority who are at the receiving end of the so-called "war on terror" (yet it was the Parsiwan Rabbani who invited and gave citizenship to most the Arabs aka Al-Qeada, how do you think they got to Masood? They had ties).
