Kuffar is an islamic term used for those who do not submit to Allah (nonmuslims). I do not know what religion you follow. but you are far from the islamic mentality. Still stuck in the british propaganda era.

If we used it in linguistic arab way. Kafir is someone who plants a seed so that it will grow. Basically used for a farmer. But that is obviously not the case.

So kafir means nonmuslim. And it is better to use kafir then saying nonmuslim. As nonmuslim is not a islamic term.
