A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
What does lagya mean? I have never heard anyone in my life use that term. It's doesn't exist in my dialect.

Lagya = in the process of doing [something], or busy doing something.
Lagya yam likal kom = I'm writing.
Is that a Urdu word? like "kam pai lag jao"
For I am writing we would say= "za khat noshta kawam"
I wrote it= "Noshta mekey"
hurry up and write it = "zhar kawa, noshta ka"
Hagha lagya da dodai khwree = She's [busy] eating.
we would say " hagha akhta da dodai khorey"

"Jaldey kar, kam pa lagg ja"
"za lagya yam"
That's what I meant.
"I am writing" pa der tariqo ke wayaledaley shee. Nu taso che kum owey, mung hum dagha se wayu kho "noshta" pake na wayu. "I am writing" = "Za likal kom." Kho zama pa khyaal mung "lagya" hala istimalao kala che raana sok tapos wakee che sa kawai. Pa jawab ke warta wayu, "Za lagya yam daa kom."
tapos = poshtana in my dialect.
In the Kandahari dialect, we use noshta.
"I am typing this post." = "za dagha post noshta kawam"
Pakaar da che za Pukhto grammar izda kam wass. Daa kho sam khwand raakai

@ admin it is from urdu language lagay raho, or most probably from some other language as urdu itself is mixture of different languages, so we have to find out if they got it from us or other way round.
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

That's what went through my head. I actually studied Urdu a few years ago, and I recall my professor telling me "You have borrowed many of our words in your Pushto". I was confused because the Pashto I speak has no similarity to Urdu.

We barely use Mehrabani. Its usually tashakor or manana for my dialect.
