Salaamoona Handsome Pashtoon,
If only keyboarding in Pashto was that easy at first! I have to say, that Feroz Jan has this down to an art, so maybe he can offer some other tips.
The other day I was responding to an email (in Pashto) and for about 10 lines of fairly large-size text, it took about 20 minutes because my keyboard kept resetting itself to English after I went to check out the spelling of a Pashto word, so even I find it problematic when the technology decides to get its own back.
I have two computers - one with the English keyboard only and one with the English and the Arabic. It's easier to key on the Arabic keyboard (though the Pashto characters don't all line up the same as the ones on the keyboard), but on the English-only keyboard, I have to use the floating keyboard. That's actually not bad and works both by keying and by mouse clicking - so you can in fact type (not just in Pashto, but other languages too), just by mouse clicking if you want.
Nazia posted a tutorial here
and there's a nifty little wordprocessor tool out there that allows you to type in "English", but converts it to Pashto.
It's not perfect, but it goes someway towards what you want - the download link and my own comments on it are posted here
