Afghan Asked for the pashto word for GARBAGE.
What is garbage? In North America, this word is used for the collected material such as junk, litter, rubbish and discarded items to be thrown away. Simple word that is used by Yousafzai's is ' KHAZALA'. May be different tribes or people of different areas are using some other word for garbage. Skha means dirty but this word definitely does not cover the meaning of garbage.
The end of Ignorance, is the beginning of Knowledge.
Knowledge has no end. It keeps expanding into the infinity.

                      You are absolutely right.

Pukhto is a mix of many dialects/languages coming from various different cousin tribes that lived in close proximity to each other and later other influences over thousands of hundreds of years. For example the Bannuci, Urmari/Burki, Nuristani/Kalashi, Balochis, Kohistanis, Swatis and Tirahis plus many other people that were/are assimilated into Pukhtoons had their own unique dialects and languages that enriches Pukhto. This is one of the reason why we have so many intelligible dialects, and why we have different words for same things in different regions like halak, orkay, orki, peghlay etc. leedal, kaatal, gooram, weenam etc.

Most Pukhtoons are ignorant to these facts, they believe that Pukhtoons sprout out of a single source, which is invalid. This is one of the reason why I don't believe in so-called "proper" Pukhto of any tribe or region. We need a lot of work before we can produce a proper Pukhto for the whole of Pukhtoons. Research needs to be done in all Pukhtoon regions, words and vocabulary needed to be collected, cataloged and a consensus must be reached by Pukhtoon linguists. The Pukhto language is very rich, we just don't have enough resources to gather the necessary data and perform systematic research.

The more isolated a Pukhtoon tribe or village, the purer the language/dialect will be. Urban regions or centers like Kandahar, Pekhawar, Kabul, etc. are not the source of Pukhto language because these regions have shifted hands between various powers that utilized multiple languages. No doubt they are the foundations that institutionalize the Pukhto language, though they can't be source of genuine dialects. For that we have to look towards qabail and indigenous Pukhtoon areas.

No we count in Japenese...ich ni san chi goku roku hach ku ju!

Mara, of course we count in Pukhto. The reason why people of Pekhawar count in Urdu is the same as to why people in Kabul speak Dari..it is the state official language, so all commerce and institutions are in Urdu. But in villages and towns Pukhtoons count in Pukhto, they wouldn't understand otherwise.

Or some refer to it as gharha (which is more commonly used for neck) - غاړه
