    Pashto Reader Passages in Transcription

A reader with transcribed passages that comprises one component of the "Pashto
Reader" materials. Accompanies "Pashto Reader", which is the basic text, and the
"Pashto Reader Originals", which are the passages in their original published forms.
Presents passages in Pashto in broad phonetic transcription, for use by linguists
and others interested in the structure and pronunciation of ayuthentic Pashto but
unfamiliar with the written script. The 45 passages are divided into 7 groups:
essays; articles; stories; poetry; public writing (signs and advertising); letters
    and memoranda; and fractured Pashto.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

The audio is not matching with the text. The link for the PDF in this thread it to Pashto Reader Passages in Transcription. The first audio to listen to is lesson 4 example 1. When you listen, they say, waya, chi shey khwre. Does not match text in Pashto Reader Unit 1 or Pashto for Beginners. Please clarify for me. JazakAllah.
