  • Question about greetings.

So when i was living in saudi and it was my first day in school my class teacher found out i was a pashtun and while walking out the class he goes "pakhair raghley". At that moment the most mindboggling question came into my mind.
How does one reply to a person who says pakhair raghley?

You would normally say “Pakhair raghley” when someone comes to meet you- not when they are departing.

There’s a lot of greetings you can use in return

    “Khair osse”
    “Starai maashe”
    “Mar maashai”
    “Salaam aleikum”
    “Khwaar maashe”

    Or simply say

    “Sarange chal da?”
