I want to read more about bacha Khan as a lot of people still admire him. It seems like most people his legacy is complicated and not black and white.Originally posted by Samandri View PostThey were zmonj o roza khalak because Bacha Khan was inspired from two figures (1) religious scholar Haji Sahib of Turangzai who was a social reformer and established private schools in Peshawar vale.... (2) Gandhi.....his non-violence philosophy
His brother and sons was another storyOriginally posted by Kaushika
majority of Hilly Rajputs are the product of these cross breeding and want to disassociate with their past. rajputs with rajwadi surnames consider themeselves superior but those native kings who look darker gets mocked as "gola" (mix breed, son of rakhile) so they actually invite light skinned rajputs and kshatriya tribes from Jammu region such as jamwals to sleep with their women so that their wives can give birth to pure white looking Native Child.

He himself was a man of sound and non-controversial character but his brother Dr.Khan was like a typical politician of today times. There was also nothing impressive about his son Wali Khan who had leanings towards communists. These are just my opinionsOriginally posted by Traveller View PostI want to read more about bacha Khan as a lot of people still admire him. One of the good things about PTI is that they are the first mainstream political party where Pashtuns have real influence and power. Although that probably won't last long as Pashtuns are very politically unstable and keep electing new governments. Imran Khan doesn't speak pashto which I don't think is ideal for a leader of KPK but then again historically most Pashtun political leaders and kings were persianized or desified.Originally posted by Samandri View PostImran Khan , who they ridicule as a Punjabay, has more Pashto and strength of character than all of their leaders combinedOriginally posted by Kaushika

By Pashto i mean sarritob ......Imran has it. He is culturally and linguistically a Lahori and Seraiki and i do not subscribe to his Pakistanism but i am kind of person who supports a rightful non-Pashtun over wrong Pashtun and vice versa........i will support any one, whether he is a Pashtun or non-Pashtun, who is sincere , honest and non-corrupt.Originally posted by Traveller View PostOne of the good things about PTI is that they are the first mainstream political party where Pashtuns have real influence and power. Impressive. Some of the Urdu medium people I met had horrendous English. They basically didn't know English.Originally posted by SamandriI studied in Urdu Medium up to 9th grade and it was a painful switch for me to read Maths and Science subjects in English.....In Urdu medium they had translated every science and maths terminology to Urdu e.g "Nizam-i-Inhizam" for digestive system, "maya" for liquid, "tikon" for triangle and so on. Its entirely useless exercise as Science subjects and maths are compulsorily in English in higher secondary education and afterwards. Science can be taught in Urdu or Pashto but there is no need to translate words like "protein".
Urdu subject should not be in higher secondary education at all .... while in Matric it should be an optional subject along with Pashto. Islamiyat and Pakistan studies should not be compulsory subjects in colleges.

And outsiders(syed Ahmed Barelvi etc) have often had the most success in uniting pashtuns.Originally posted by Samandri View PostBy Pashto i mean sarritob ......Imran has it. Bakhana ghowaram, excuse me wrora, but are you THE luffy? Michin khel of yore?Originally posted by SamandriNo, toughpashtun is relatively newcomer....what i am trying to say is that if you check the old postings of this site, you will realize that toughpashtun of today is comparatively given a great degree of respect. Back then in 2010-2011 very decent members like toughpashtun were getting viciously attacked by hardliners just because they were calling themselves Pakistani.
Yes i am smarty aka Luffy

Manana! Will defo check it out.Originally posted by Traveller View PostYes, I agree with you. We have to "Pashtoize" the entire environment. We should start with road and shop signs. How to do that I don't know yet but I think if people come together it can happen. And if we develop Pashto like you said Pashtun society will advance.
As for websites thePashto.com - Pashto Online Dictionary has been doing some great work. It was made by a software engineer from Peshawar by the name of Moxet(Abdul Muqsit) Khan who is the founder of a network of projects for Pashto and Pashtuns by the name of Pashto and Pashtuns called Pukhtoogle. Go check it out.

Then you have learnt mightily, mashallah. Most children who have been educated in private schools use slang and a dumbed down version of english whilst speaking amongst each other. Not that its a big deal but it cast aspersions on their supposed "polished" schooling.Originally posted by Samandri View PostIn 2009-2010, i could not construct a sentence properly in English, the grammar was very messed up and vocabulary was lacking.......i have learnt and improved English through foruming. Most of the members on this forum are from English speaking countries with neat English so basically i have learnt English by reading their posts and by responding to them.

They sold out the people of swat. Hundreds died due to their inherent greed for money.Originally posted by Traveller View PostThey are complete hypocrites. Love to talk about pashto and Pashtuns but will do nothing for our language and identity and will instead blame everything on Punjabis. In addition they are beghairat and are not fit to lead Pashtuns. What Pashtuns need is a ghairatmand and qabil leader with a vision to bring our nation forward.

Except firduosi maybe? Plus i'm not anti-pakistan, not at all. But i can't stand their lies and blatant hypocrisy especially when it comes to Pashtuns, be they lar awo bar. I've seen elite punjab police beating miserable Pashtana from the tribal areas and it damn near killed me.Originally posted by Samandri View PostI did not know toughPashtun has background army. It explains his some what emotional and firm (and wrong) defence of Army. If you see the postings of six or seven years ago, you will realize that toughpashtun is actually given a great deal of respect in todays PF because he is a decent person with rational and realistic views........and extreme hardliners who would have viciously attacked him, are no longer active.
