  • what doe this mean?

    Hello,

    I know the words "mina" and "zindabad", but I cant understand what "mina zindabad" and "mina mina" means.

    What is the meaning of "del le de" and how to write it in Pashto charachters.

    The same with the word "sterge". It means strength? I cant get the meaning of: "sterge de kachkol krra wakhla", "da sterge de bia"

    Thank you!

    hello,

    'mina zindabad' means 'hails love' literally means' long live love'
    'del le de' not sure it is a pashto word. please provide a source
    'sterge' stands for 'eyes'
    "sterge de kachkol krra wakhla dedona"
    'kachkol' is special kind of bowl used by beggar like an oval shaped.
    means 'transform your eyes into kachkol and collect dedanona (i can't recall a proper word for dedanona, it's a plural of dedan, when you are seeing your beloved, it is called dedan, you are doing a dedan of your beloved actually..

    "da sterge de bia" means "again these eyes of yours"

      Thank you marwat,

      I will look for the source where I heard "del le de" I think it's in one song from dil raj.

      I am still unsure what "krra wakhla" means. I can look it up in my dictionary, that says: [to command] or [time to start].

      Short words troubles me very much, like "da sta", I hear it very often, but I cant find out the meaning. *cry cry*

          Mina zindabad = long live love
          Mina mina= love love
          Sterge does not mean strength
          Sterge de kachkol krra wakhla= put your eyes in a kachkol(small bowl)
          Da sterge de bia is incomplete, need more words.

              There is on "sentence" left:

              "re le de" and "le de le" and "del le de" It's at Dilraj at the end of the song Da goodar khawa ke.

                I think she is saying "zra me che pa cha baande blale de" which sort of means i wasted my heart on someone.

                Zra me= my heart
                Cha= someone
                Belal= waste (gawana in urdu)

                  Slight correction

                  Zre mai cha ta bailale dai = I have lost my heart to someone

                  Bailal = To lose

                  Zaiya = To waste
