  • Ashraf Ghani's Dialect

    Salamoona.

Can anyone tell me what dialect of Pashto Ashraf Ghani uses? What part of Afghanistan is that dialect prominent in? I listened to him speaking, and I could only make out a few words here and there. The accent and choice of words seemed so different from the Pashto I'm familiar with.

    Thanks.

Typical Northern dialect common with Pakitwals and Logari's.

Thanks for your response, bro. And I'm from Malakand, which is pretty close to Swat.

        He is from Logar.

        Northern Dialect.

I am from Kunar and can easily understand most of what he says.

Our dialect is pretty much the same.

I have same difficulity understanding Waziri, Afridi and Khostis lol.
“Pakistan, which plays a key role in Asia, is so famous for treachery that it is said they can get milk from a bull. They have two tongues in one mouth, and two faces on one head so they can speak everybody’s language; they use everybody, deceive everybody.

Understanding Ashraf Ghani Dialect is not hard for me.

I can understand Karlani dialects without any problem as this is also my mother dialect because karlani dialect or the central dialect are almost similar except for the People of Kurram agency as even though karlani, they still use "Kha" instead of "Sha"

I can very easily understand and infact i can also speak lohani dialect without any problem.

I can also understand the quetta/Shinwari/kakar dialect though i can't speak 100% like them.

Because i had lived most of my life in Pakistan in Southern KPK/FATA(baka khel,Bannu,DIK) i had very hard to initially undetstand the dialect of people of peshawar.i had only listened to the dialect on khyber tv,

After living for more than 3 years here now even though i can understand completely but still hard for me to speak the yousufzai/Malakand/Dir Region pashto dialect.

Initially mt classmate had very hard to understand wazirwola dialect and on ocassion we had to talk in urdu because they could not understand wazirwola dialect and i had very little experience with the dialect beyond karak.
