Some of the words might sounds similars but still there is big difference.
How can we explain some of the words I had listed in an earlier post that are the same in kurdi and pashto but are not found in farsi or arabic. What are possible explanations, besides a common ancient ancestry?

Kurds and kurdi are more related to Baluch then pashtuns.
We have some words similar to Salavic language .Same as dari, turkic and kurdis but that dose ,nt mean we are related to them.
      pashtu is unique language.
For exmaple Hebro and pashtu also have few words similar.
      Gaw for ghwa
      Abo for oba.

Even you will find some words similar with english.

Support pashto language and greater pukhtoonkhwa.

pa prady jaba khabarai pakhtun naka
be laila bala soda kho majnon naka
gero jabo kre lahoo pa khpal tahzeeb ki
be pakhtu ba de bal hestsok rastoon naka
      hamza baba

Tashakur, pa khair raghlay wrora (pa khair haati bhra in kurdi).

I guess the question becomes how many words are common. I agree if it is a couple of words in common, then a logical conclusion would be the shared ancestry is many thousands of years ago.after all if we go back to the beginning then everyone on earth has the same ancestry.

But, in the case of kurdi pashto, we may be looking at maybe around 100 words, plus if we consider genetics/DNA, and physical appearance then the common ancestry may only be 1500 to 3000 years ago.

My grandparents from my mother and father are kurds from the same area. I took a DNA test recently, and my results were entered into Gedmatch. My MDLP K23b admixture results were:

        Caucuses - 35.25%
        South Central Asia- 25.13%
        Near East- 13.06%
Ancestral Altaic (Mongol) + SE Asia -7.5 %
        European Early Farmer- 6.42%
        South Indian- 4.58%

        Remainder- other regions

My Mixed mode population sharing was 73.7% Azerbaijan + 26.3% Pashtun @ distance of 2.29.

Other Kurds tested had similar results.

With regards to Baloch, you are correct, many baloch have last name Kurd, and genetic studies have shown that kurds share a high percentage of DNA with Baloch http://vaedhya.blogspot.com/2014/08/...n-genetic.htmlh.
