Make schools that teach children only Pashto! Not just still great six, but Pashto throughout the kid's entire education. Not Dari or Urdu, from kindergarten to a Bachelors Degree, all in Pashto......... No Urdu, or Dari,

The Waneci dialect in Quetta is pretty different from pashto cause it evolved.
Ormuri is entirely different from Pashto.
If Pashto evolved, what would it look like? You suggesting neo-pashto?

The only effective way is to make it official language in the real sense. To give Pashto constitutional status as in Afghanistan.

I am amazed to see the status of different languages in one country. Once you go out of Ottawa and you enter Montreal or Quebec , it seems you are in another country. In Toronto you have everything in English but in Quebec everything in French. Similar scenes you see in Switzerland, Belgium and other multilingual countries.

Why this is so? Because in Quebec no body wants to talk to you in English. Everything is written in French. This way French language and culture is very much alive in that part of Canada. We Pashtuns prefer talking and writing other languages even in Pashtunland.

Till the time there is no market for Pashto language by declaring it official in Pashto speaking areas, Pashto will continue dying. You have to motivate and compel people to learn a language. If they do not need it , why they will learn and use it. If in Peshawar and Quetta everything is in Urdu, and in Kabul everything in Persian, why one will learn and use Pashto?

The thing is that it is not that pashto is uncommon now or diminishing, but that once people travel up a strata in a society they adopt the tongue that is best matched with it. People started speaking Dari as a way to express a liberal outlook and change in their existence. So how do we remove or evolve the political connotations of speaking Pashto... I really don't know.

If a man walks up to a girl and speaks pashto she will assume he is conservative.... if he speaks dari that he is liberal... and if he speaks both that he is the son of a wealthy and affluent person.

pashtu should be the language of,media, business, education and so on.
Pashtu should be fully recognise as a national language in the constitution.
pashtuns should also invest in media to promote pashtu.
Learn ,speak and teach proper pashtu to your children.
I do,nt like pashtu full of english, urdu and persain words.
In pakistan the punjabis are ashamed of their language and they adopted urdu.
Now the punjabis want others to follow them. They do not recognize other languages.
pashtuns should come out of their holes and protect pashtu language.

Support pashto language and greater pukhtoonkhwa.

Your best bet actually is celebrities that speak Pashto... a thriving pashto music and film industry that displays a wealthy living and allows for pashto poets and writers to produce good work. If media gets good funding and once impressions are built the rest will be easy.

The singer naghma did this social service with the impression she built of being desirable.

I know this might seem trivial... but media plays a bigger role than school and all of bureaucratic systems combined.
