Mesbah - well done here, your answers are plausible, but you express a slight doubt. Would be interested in which response you had some doubt over.

Tor_Khan, believe it or not, I actually had trouble translating the word 'good'. Call it a brain freeze or whatever, but that actually happened ...
... *shrugs*
EDIT: And I thought I'd add that instead of saying 'lobo pe maydaan' for question four of part A, I just pasted Maydaan ... come to think of it, I think there are more mistakes than I think ... Tor_Khan, where is your red pen?Last edited by Guest; 04-27-2010, 02:04 PM.

Mesbah - Your responses are ډیرښه - and make perfect reading sense. You might be interested that in the original text however,
د ننګرهار په (4)_____ کې
was
د ننګرهار په پوهنتون کې
Da Nangarhar pa Pohantoon ke
and
هو، د (7)_____ کې د ماهيانو رستورانونه شته دى.
was
هو، د لوبو په میدان کې د ماهيانو رستورانونه شته دى.
Au, da labu pa maidan ke da maihanu restauranuna shta de
Even when pohantoon and da labu maidan switches sentences as in your responses, it still makes perfect sense, so well done. Sticker? Pashto Dars would not be the same without ... so here's another one ...

On a side note:
I usually don't use the word چېرې - anyone willing to write the alternative word/spelling especially now that we've discussed many ways of composing Pashto text?
Postscript: Anyone got a good idea for the next Pashto Dars?

I twisted it, oops. I knew it didn't make sense somewhere ... I want to clarify, but it sounds so silly - gosh.
Thank you for the corrections, AND continuous encouragement. Believe you me, I do something like this at home, with my sisters or father, and I will hide out of embarassment when I get something wrong. But, here, as silly as those mistakes are, I am not worried. An encouraging teacher like yourself makes things a lot easier. And this is an understatement - big time.
And yes, neither do I use 'cherey'.

Osho - thanks for dropping by. I've used the same link as a reference before in this posting
- particularly when I was exploring the use of ے and ى
Thank you all the same and بخښنه غواړم if I said anything to disappoint in the other thread. It is about effort, energy and care and you demonstrate that.

Tor_Khan, keep them coming, I really enjoyed it. I didn't listen to the audio though, or open the link (I hope I haven't missed anything). I am in a little rush. I hadn't seen this thread. It was tucked away, it's a good thing it came up in the new posts, else I would have missed it altogether.
Ustaad, we're waiting for more!

Heyyyy, who you calling tambal sha? Lakhta, nooo. Tor_Khan would never do that. But look, I know I made mistakes, but dude, I am trying man. I mean, the first alphabet I was exposed to was Arabic. And then English at school at the age of three. So you can imagine ... well okay, maybe you can't. I know I shouldn't be ruining this with excuses, but I am learning ... au sarhay kho pe yawe shpe ke ne mullah keegi kana?
