Completely Inaccurate KPK Languge Map on Wikipedia

Well i agree. To certain extent, that pathans need to be able to speak pashto. We have been in non-pashtun areas for generations but we still speak pashto, like so many other pathans around us. I will consider a person who is non-pashto speaking pathan as pathan as long as his aspirations are the same as pathan majority (i hope that makes sense). If he associates with others, than he aint no pathan, i am sorry.

Well i know parachas, gujjars and syeds (Bukharis, Gilani's) even Sikhs, that are more nationalist pashtuns than i am. So that defination has to be relaxed for people who make the effort. Therefore, in this case, i am of the opinion that we can cancel the membership ( of pashtun tribal people who do not speak pashto as clearly they dont have much love for the culture, and induct people who are not associated with any pashtun tribe, but clearly makes an effort. Think about it.

I think this map almost represent the reality except Chitral where Pashto is used in the whole Darosh area and the bordering areas with Dir and Afghanistan.

Please copy this map here. As it is an official map of the government of Pakistan, it will have more credibility.

Also we need a map by population density. Maps based on area can be misleading like the one above as Chitral, Kohistan have large areas but very less population. People may misconceive that Chitrali or Kohistanis have big presence.

Thanks, i was kinda bored that day. I can not make a population density map (i am not that skilled). What do you think of afghanistans map. Tell me about Herat, Badghais, Wardak, and Ghazni Province, becuase these provinces are on the fringes and are heavily contested.

First please copy and paste this map I recommended here for visual effect. You may paste it in facebook, twitter, other social net works and every where you find space. The more you have web presence the better it is. People when search for some data or information they will come across it.

You can continue talking to wikipedia and emphasizing them that this map is prepared by the census department of the government of Pakistan so they must accept it.

I know personally about Kunarr of Afghanistan in detail which is a 100% Pashtun area. About the other regions which you mentioned,some one living there may inform you correctly. I have been to all these places but like a casual visitor. I have found both Dari and Pashto speakers there. I speak both the languages.
