  • Completely Inaccurate KPK Languge Map on Wikipedia

Here is the link for a map being used in various articles pertaining to languages of Khber Pukhtunkhwa: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...akhtunkhwa.jpg. The map is showing Battagram, Shangla, Ogai Tehsil, Torghar District, Buner, Parts of Swabi as hindko speaking. While it is showing Tank District, Karak District, western DI khan (Kulachi), and parts of Lakki Marwat as Saraiki speaking. We all know that the map is biased against pashto language. Following are some of the links that i collected:

Here are the link of language maps of northern and southern Khyber pukhtunkhwa by Ethnologue and (http://www.ethnologue.com/map/PK_n and http://www.ethnologue.com/map/PK_s) 14 is pashto

Did everything to delete it, chnage it, have it deleted by Wikipedia commons, Nothing works. They are not taking any of my sources or knowledge as valid, while they are accepting this baseless map.

The map is based on the basis of larger divisions and regions not on the basis of districts or tehsils.

If you have time please argue with them that yes in the majority parts of the city of Dera Ismail Khan and the suburbs toward Bhakkar Seraiki is spoken but in the other parts of Dera Ismail Khan division and district Pashto is spoken. They confuse Dera Islmail Khan as name of the city, district , division and region.

All these have the same name but Seraiki is only spoken in the city and the suburbs. I have spent many months in Dera Ismail Khan. Even in the city now a days Pashto has big presence because of the shifting of Wazirs, Mehsoods, Marwats and other Pashtun tribes.

It is like Baluchistan where people think it is 100% Baloch but the reality is that is also 45% Pashtun. Only the name Balochistan create problems of identity and real demographic representation.

Similar is the case with Hazara division. Districts Batagram, Tor Ghar and half of Mansehra are purely Pashtuns but as in majority parts of Hazara division Hindko is spoken, they misconceive and put the whole region under Hindko.I have extensively traveled in all these areas.

I have spent almost a year in Chitral and I know that the southern Chitral, Daroosh and the bordering areas with Dir are all Pashtun. But people think Chitral only for Chitrali language because its the language of the majority. In the city of Chitral Pashto has an important presence.

Hindko is only spoken in the city of Kohat and few villages around. Karak is 100% Pashtun(100% khattak tribe). I have visited all these areas and stayed there for weeks. Karak has boundry with Kohat and may be because of this misconception.

Buner, Swabi, Tor Ghar, Shangla are 100% Pashtun(Yousafzais)

Please take it up once again with all such sites. It will be a great service for Pashtun cause of correct representation in the virtual world.

I did everything, but i think the map was created by a hindko province support. The creater is a known puppet master. Here is the discussion link: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Co...akhtunkhwa.jpg

I've tried to edit a few afghan provinces back in the day which were misrepresented horribly like for Ghor province which stated it was 58% tajik which is completely false. I had reliable sources to dispute this yet my article was re-edited in less then 10 minutes. It seems like there are a few Iranian nationalists lurking around or that Wikipedia hates Pashtuns in general.

To be fair there are many Pathans in Pashtunkhwa. They dont speak any Pashto. So we have to count them as non-Pashtun.

That's stupid. These Pathans that speak other languages still consider themselves Pashtun. To be considered pashtun, you have to belong to a Pashtun tribe, not by speaking Pashto.

Can any one or a geographer/cartographer please make a realistic map of KP , Balochistan and Afghanistan on languages basis and give it a wide publicity on net so that it can catch eye of every one surfing for demographics of Pashtuns?

If any one designs such a map please share it here first.

I agree, in case of Afghanistan its the farsiwan (Tajiks and Hazaras), and in case of Pakistan its the Hindkowans that would keep doing this. Even though the information i added was correct. In fact i had reduced the pashtun population just so that the map was acceptable, but even then they all ganged up on me.

Instead of blaming others we may find ways and means to gang up on them. Why majority Pashtuns are so week that minorities subdue them!
I cannot do it technically. Please prepare your own map and give it a wide publicity
