Actually he's right. My studies are thru distance learning, which is why I'm plugged into the internet almost all day.

The interpreter told me that pai loocha = gangster forces / fighters

              pai loch= bare feet
pailoch were one of the toughest fighters who fought against soviets bare footed and bare headed on all terrain.
Haji latif the father of gul agha sherzoi was pailoch as well.

Tell your interpreter that I said he is an idiot.
Gangster is badmash not pai looch. it literally means bad manners or style of life
                fighter is jung-ee
Gangsters use violence for profit so its confusing of what the intention is of this thread.

There were majahadeen who fought bare foot against the soviets in the kandahar/helmand area. Ther is little doubt that your interpreter is a closeted commy, ask him questions about what he thinks of Najib and the communist revolution.

Something makes me think that the interpreter might just be pulling your strings. Out of all possible terms, he just so happened to choose paylooch, a Dari term which Kabulis would use for Pashtuns (especially Kandaharis) who would walk in public without shoes. Paylooch, as khushal said, simply means barefooted in Dari, not gangster.

oh, the interpreter is prejudiced against pashtuns.

He's a Kandahari Popalzai. It might be that he couldn't think of the correct English phrase and used 'gangster' in the American slang sense of the word (ruthless, badass, respected). Next I see him I'll ask.

^ Lol, I guess that may work for SiiNii. It's a battle song, in Pashto, and heck-- it even mentions payloochan in the lyrics.

i dont think there are many pashto songs about pailooch, SiiNii might encourage poets and musicians to write and make more songs about pailoch.

Yeah I'll have to see if anyone is up to it... or try making some myself
When the new album drops it might include a remix of the above song.
