  • Pashto Vocabulary and Dictionary Resources (in Print) ?

I currently use the Foladi-Oxford English-Pashto dictionary yet I find that it is not as comprehensive or accurate as I had hoped for.

What are the most accurate and thorough English-Pashto or Pashto-English dictionaries or vocabulary resources that you know of?

    Manana in advance.

So far this is the best Eng-Pashto-Eng dictionary. But grammar some comments are with errors.

      Hi there Yasmeena:

(That's a very pretty name, I must say). I was looking for something in print and that dictionary you shared the link to is apparently worth over a hundred bucks. Not going to happen with my budget-- I'm close to getting laid off from my job. I hate it when you kids don't know how to read properly. What in heaven's sake are they teaching you in the public schools?

Sorry for my attitude. I am just fed up with with daily life. Wife is bickering, kids are misbehaving, I'm gaining weight...and in the midst of it all, I just want to learn Pashto. I ask here because I thought people would be more helpful welcoming. I guess it was too much to ask for though.

Hey Joey, you can download the dictionary for free in pdf from the link: http://www.pashtunforums.com/showthread.php?t=21519
I am sorry that I didn't clarify it in my previous post.

We have Pashto textbooks in our Kitabtoon, in Pashto dictionaries thread. I would recommend the textbook written by Olson or H.Tegey & B. Robson. None of them is perfect. In fact the best textbook (in my opinion) was written in German.
Please feel free to ask if you have more questions.

Your attitude is just normal - we all have ups and downs. Smile
