  • more pashto-speakers than dari-speakers?

this question has been in my mind for a long time. i really wonder who are more, just because im curious. we know that dari is the language used for communication between pashto-speakers and non pashto-speakers so this is also the reason why many papers etc are in dari. but there are still many pashto-speakers in kabul, south and east afghanistan and also in manny villages in north-afghanistan (kundus, herat, baghlan, badakshan), villages which are located in rural areas and which don't have any contact with the outside world, so what do you think? and also can you give a sort of percentages about what you think.

    thanks

well give or take, half of afghanistan is pashtun

of this 50% id say at least 80% speak pashto...so id say based off that, rough estimates, about 40% of afghanistan is pashto speaking

dari is the more prevalent language
