I would like help with the translation of text on a crest and also getting a copy of it that I can use in a text document. This image is of the patch being worn by Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan as part of the NATO Training Mission.





I believe the text is a quote by Hannibal meaning "I will find a path or build it." Can you confirm this?

It looks farsi. I don't know

It's in Dari.

It's like this:
من پيدا ميکنم يک راه يا ميسازم

(I am not sure of the last word as on the picture the endo fo last word looks strange)
and the meaning you gave is correct.

This text could be also written in the following way (some says that it is more correct or used by educated Dari users):
من پيدا می کنم يک راه يا می سازم

It writes as "من پیدا میکنم یک رااه یا میسازمش

and the English translation of it is, just as you wrote above " I will find a path or build it. I think they could translate Hannibal's quote better than this in Dari.
