  • Meaning of certain Pashto nouns

Is there a deeper semantic difference between nouns listed below? I know that apparently there is no difference, and all of them mean the same thing. But I know also that native users of languages perceive subtle differences.

    examples:

    اوچتتیا، اوچتتوب، اچتوالی

    سپینتیا،سپینتوپ سپینوالی

    زړورتیا، زړورتوب، زړورالی

    etc...

hmmm the first word means Highness, loftiness, magnificence, grandness, impressiveness
The second word means straightforwardness, singleness, downrightness
The third word means courage, boldness, bravery, dauntlessness, fearlessness, fortitude, heroism, intrepidity, mettle, nerve, spunk, stoutheartedness, valiance, valorousness

I meant if there is a difference between
      اوچتتیا، اوچتتوب، اچتوالی
or if the nouns have exactly the same meaning

I think there is no such difference. The only difference which is possible is the use of these different words in different dialects.

Could you write which suffixes are typical for different dialects?

I can help you, but only with my dialect. Perhaps that would answer your question?

              The third one:

1)emkhan da dera zorawartya da lasa wos khpal num naswai kazhalai.

2)Tola dunya da Pashtano pa zorawarwali bandey khabar dey.

3)Dona zorarwartob hum nadey sha, yaw shai ba darbandey wasey.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Admin khan what is the meaning of the last word in the first sentence "kazhalai" and the last word in the third sentence "wasey" ??? Your pashto is difficult to understand.
Second thing is that the words you have used here in different sentences, you can exchange these words in those three sentences.
                So what is the difference.

                  Its like English...

                  Example......

                  High...Highness...Higher.

                  Safe...Safety...Safely...

                  White...Whiteness...Whitened

                  Force...Forceful...Forcing

                  Great...Greatness...Greatest.

                  Pick...Picked...Pinking

Just like words...change in English...same in Pashto.
I believe the sun should never set upon an argument.
I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think I can use zororwali in the 3rd sentence -- which is why I think each word is used in it's special context.
