do you know what Durrani means?

you said you are Alokozai

Alokozai is not durrani.

just because ur Kandahari does not mean ur durrani.

Alokozai is a presitigous tribe mainly in the city and Arghandab they are not dur durrani.

Durrani is Sadozai tribe of Ahmad Shah Baba better known as Abdali.

and if your telling me your Sadozai, I can easily find out if ur rlly sadozai or not since Kandahar city easily know each other.

even though it's a province of 2million it's not hard to find out whos who. Especially a tribe like Sadozai(durrani).

Sadozai is the ancient name...then it was called Abdali, then Durrani once Ahmad Shah Baba was in power......Durrani Tareen is divided into Panjpai and Zirak.....Alocozay comes from Zirak.....got it?

No i dont make false claims, what do i get from that? My great grandfathers are from Arghandab, Kandahar....not much for me to bs.

being a doctor is overrated.

there are plenty of occupations that pay more. Being a doc means having no life.

Exactly, i have no life

no but on a serious note, its something i have been wanting to do since i was little....i decided it on my own. If i didnt want to be a doctor, i would want to be a psychologist, cultural anthropologist, or even a forensic scientist.

miss doctor only sadozai was given the nick name durr e dowran which means Durrani. Not the entire tribe it was exclusive to Sadozai and sadozai is not ancient lmao. It's a tribe that is in Kandahar who are also known as abdali. What deathmatch wrote was right.

If ur alokozai you can't be durrani.

Okay, so does Alocozay not come from Durrani? Is it not a sub-tribe? Does it not come from Durrani-Tareen?

"In 1738, Nadir Shah and his army, which included Ahmad Khan and four thousand of his Pashtun soldiers of the Abdali tribe,[50] conquered the region of Kandahar from the Hotak Ghilzais; in the same year he occupied Ghazni, Kabul and Lahore. On June 19, 1747, Nadir Shah was assassinated by the Persians[51] and Ahmad Shah Abdali called for a loya jirga ("grand assembly") to select a leader among his people. The Afghans gathered near Kandahar in October 1747 and chose him as their new head of state. Ahmad Shah Durrani is often regarded as the founder of modern Afghanistan.[1][5][52] After the inauguration, Ahmad Shah adopted the title padshah durr-i dawran ('King, "pearl of the age")[53] and the Abdali tribe became known as the Durrani tribe there after.

By 1751, Ahmad Shah Durrani and his Afghan army conquered the entire present-day Afghanistan, Pakistan, Khorasan and Kohistan provinces of Iran, along with Delhi in India.[22] He defeated the Sikhs of the Maratha Empire in the Punjab region nine times, one of the biggest battles was the 1761 Battle of Panipat. In October 1772, Ahmad Shah retired to his home in Kandahar where he died peacefully and was buried there at a site that is now adjacent to the Mosque of the Cloak of the Prophet Mohammed. He was succeeded by his son, Timur Shah Durrani, who transferred the capital of their Afghan Empire from Kandahar to Kabul. Timur died in 1793 and was finally succeeded by his son Zaman Shah Durrani."

An overwhelming amount of the rulers of Pashtuns were Kandahari that does not mean they are all Durrani or all kandahari tribes are subtribes of Durrani. Its exclusive to Sadozais aka Abdali.

Okay, i get what you are saying....so you tell me, Alocozai is a sub-clan, now what tribe and branch does it come from?
