Scarf you mean the one word around the neck?

    Button: Tokma
Hat: Ttopey, khwaley or more specifics pakol
    Shawl: pattu (for men), shaal

So we don't have words for different kinds of shirts? Qamees is for men and women of course, but even the kinds of qameesuna? I use qamees for dress, because of the additional Dari words that help differentiate between them, but it would be great to know the Pakhto words, if there are any.

The "partug" is gathered around the waist with a string/rubber belt known as "Partoghaakh" Marwat and some other tribes in Pukhtunkhwa call it "Laal".....

                    Salamoona!!

There is a letter which is written like "rey" but has a dot above and below. In Yousafzai pakhto it is pronounced as a "g" and in Qandahar Pashto its pronounced as "J" . My question - how did this change in pronunciation occur? why did it occur? it's not as if "J" does not occur in Pakhto e.g. "Jaba" for language. So why is this not pronounced as "J" always whether its "Pakhto" or Pashto??

                    Thanks!

Curious: a new speaker of Pashto is always detectable as no pastun right ? Let’s hope so, fullstop. i no like englis no more~ euphoniousness b darned as engjis is mlecch language unlike Aryan Pashto. Ya
howver persianized gurmukhi Panjabi is imho a bit more SANE. Direction of script must be Sanscritic- otherwise unfair atrocities r impossible to prevent - impossible - sin is never rewarded by any God in any form .
ya so at deaths door Englis rapidly vanish - thnx vhgru Gandharvan land is most romantic - which is why as per my reckoning (correct theory imho oweing to history ) warriors r birthed at but one spot irAfghan Zamin . Ummah better know Ummah seen as pagan by Xtian hebrew- ain’t Sikhi grand ❄️
