I sat on the soil of your earlier abode,
And picked up the leaves, while my tears flowed.
I cried your name through silent screams,
And sought your reply in the sun’s beams.
For once, your smile was the verve of the sun’s course
Despite its existence, it now hides with little remorse.
The fragrance of your presence was the root of a spring flower
Your absence causes its bustle, reducing it to cower.
You swiftly appeared in the vast barren land,
You weren’t alone, I stood to hold your warm hand.
Like a rainbow, of glow and might, to a dark sky,
The vista that played could make any devotee fly.
As the wind brushed over the remains of you and I,
It wasn’t long before it silenced my saddened sigh.
Its wings holding a branch, beating your name,
It hastily rolled like a parchment without any shame.
To my desires, it showed very little obedience,
And vigorously extinguished every form of radiance.
Its spears pierced through the soil of the land beneath,
Its aim precise, it tore between us with its sheath.
Like a colourless autumn leaf, I trembled rapidly,
My heart, still beating your name, I felt anxiety.
I longed for it to turn over the sand glass, boldly,
And forever change the path of our destiny.
