  • MWMN,
You are right. But you must realize how much influence the guy with the chalk has. Everything that leaves his mouth is being noted down. He says Religion is bad, the class laughs, best believe they will keep that in mind along with his countless rebuttals. I challenged and debated with a few of his claims, But it was quite interesting to learn his stance. His view on Hijab was also quite exonerating.

    Iqra,

Well, each professor in my university grades differently. I personally hate it when there is only 2 exams involved. That means, If you do bad in 1, you are gone.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

I had today off because it is a Canadian holiday and there are fire works going off like mad outside. Yet somehow with all the banging I need to sleep so I can teach tomorrow. hehe im totally being a whiny female right now. oops
Feel free to kidnap me and take me on a vacation....anyone! I am located at the nastiest, ugliest, basement apartment that scares me because there are gross spiders showing up. *sleeps with lights on*

Ha ha stop it, you are making me blush.....

when i was about 11 years old, before my grandfather passed away. I talked to him on the phone. I told him that i wanted to be a doctor just like both my parents, i wanted to help humans in every way i could. And till today, i still remember his voice, i remember the exact words he said to me after i told him that.

He said the day i was born, when he saw my face, and when he did the azan for me, he knew right away, i was going to be someone in society. He knew that i was going to be a hardworker and not let my family down.

I will always remember him because he always had a strong faith in me. So, in my long journey till i succeed....i carry the Allah chain that was given to me and i carry my grandfathers words in my mind and heart. Honestly, that is what keeps me going.....

You are the reason Islam came to liberate women. Masha Allah!

Make us all proud. I know you will, in due time!
